Manchester United manager Ralf Ragnick has given an update on the misunderstanding he had with French forward Anthony Martial.

According to the German tactician, the issue has now been resolved following a discussion he held with the Frenchman.

However, what was the initial issue? Details on it would be provided in the following paragraphs.

The standing issue between Ragnick and Martial

The issue between Ragnick and Martial openly began after the Manchester United boss made some statements concerning Martial in a post-match press conference.

According to Ragnick, Martial had been seeking a move away from Old Trafford in January. Hence, he was unwilling to be in the matchday squad for Manchester United's game against Aston Villa.

On hearing the statements made by the manager, Anthony Martial was quick to take to his social media handle and speak in defence of himself.

Martial's statement

From Martial's viewpoint, he explained that on no occasion was he called to represent the Manchester United squad and he refused.

Insisting that he had a love for the fans and what the club stood for. Refusal to play was simply disrespectful to the barge.

Conclusion

The statement from Martial drove many Journalists in two directions. With many not knowing which side of the story to believe.

However, in a recent statement, Ralf Ragnick has insisted the issue with Martial has now been resolved. Still, we wait to see if it would be met by more game time for the Frenchman.
