Several Premier League clubs are now pushing to get current Premier League chairman Gary Hoffmann fired with immediate effect.

According to the Athletic, the former banker, Gary Hoffmann, has not been clear enough in his communication to the remaining Premier League clubs around the Saudi buyers of Newcastle and the acquisition itself.

It is rumored that a majority demands Hofmann fired, as it is believed that he does not possess the necessary clout from a governmental, political and communicative perspective.

Gary Hoffmann has only been in office for 18 months since being elected Premier League chairman in April 2020. He has not been popular as chairman as chaos reigned during the relegation of the Premier League due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but also because that Hoffmann actively participated in the Super League playoffs earlier this year.

Nothing new is reported about the process in the firing, and whether the firing is even discussed in the Premier League board.
