Hello everyone! Welcome to the first 2019 sport educating post from @Oxygen02, I'm wishing everyone here on scorum a glorious and successful year ahead. This year will serve as a reference point in celebrating another success on the platform for everyone.

Arsenal Football Club is a club playing in English Premier League, they are popularly known as "The Gunners" I don't really know how they got the nick though but maybe it is due to the fact that from the dictionary, the word Arsenal means a stock of weapons, especially where a nation weapons is been kept. If the round leather game happens to be a war, these club will be the most successful club in the whole world with their weapons.

The club came into existence in 1886, almost 136 years ago and has became so successful winning the league 13 times with 13 FA cups with many trophies in Europe except the UEFA champions league. Arsenal got the nick the invincible between 2003 and 2004 after setting a record of 49 matches unbeaten but there are some moments this club is not getting it right and they are been thrashed maybe due to poor run or change in plan and there is need to take a look back at some of those moments.

Manchester United vs Arsenal (8-2)

This actually happened during sir Alex Ferguson era in 2011 in a match that see Manchester United returning to the top of the league. As far as modern football is concern, this is the most annoying moment for the gunners since 1896. Wayne Rooney was the man that kill the show with his hat trick goals at Old Trafford. Welbeck open the scoring for United and Arsenal had a chance to level the scores when De Gea save a penalty from Van Persie, Ashley Young added another goal in the 28 minutes of the game and Wayne Rooney score from a free kick before Theo Walcott make it 3-1 before half time. Wayne Rooney make it four before setting Nani up with another fine pass, JS Park came in as a substitute and also get himself on the scoring sheet. Van Persie score back for Arsenal before Jenkinson was been sent off on a tackle on Javier Hernandez after receiving the second yellow card. Arsenal team look destabilized before completed his hat trick and Young ended the game with another fine strike pass Szczesny. Arsenal really missed his departed players like Nasri and Fabregas in this match.

Chelsea vs Arsenal (6-0)

2014 was another memorable moments in the history of premier league as Chelsea secured their first biggest winning over their London rivals and this also marked the biggest win of Jose Mourinho as a Chelsea manager. Chelsea were already leading with two goals before 10 minutes of the game when Samuel Eto'o open the scoring in the 5 minutes of the game and Andre Schurrle doubled it in the 7 minutes. History will never forget this game as it was Wenger 1000th game as Arsenal manager, Chelsea looked sharp in front of goal in this game and dominate the match all through in the first half. Eden Hazard scored from a penalty spot after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain handed the ball and Gibbs was mistakenly sent off for it, Oscar make it four before the break. From the stat, Chelsea won the ball possession with 53% to 47% with 21 shots 11 on target to 11 shot 5 on target for Arsenal. Oscar completed his brace in the 66 minutes before substitute Salah scored in the 71 minutes to make the afternoon a miserable one for Arsenal team.

Manchester City vs Arsenal (6-3)

December 14, 2013 wasn't a good one for the London team as Manchester City thrashed them 6-3 at Etihad Stadium. Aguero put City in front in the 17 minutes and Walcott equalize for Arsenal 14 minutes after, Negredo put City back in the 39 minutes before the half time. The first half result wasn't a bad one as Arsenal will be hoping to come back and make things right in the second half but Manchester City also had their own plan as well. The second half begins and it wasn't a good one for Arsenal as City scored 4 goals and Arsenal scoring 2 goals in the second half. Fernandinho scored again in the 50 minutes and Walcott responded back in the 63 minutes of the game giving Arsenal some hope in the game. City actually sticked to their philosophy that the best way to defend is to attack and it really worked well for them as Silva make it four for Manchester City in 66 minutes and Fernandinho scoring his second goal to make it five, Mertesacker scored the third for Arsenal before Yaya Toure scored from a penalty spot. It wasn't a good outing for the gunners.

Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (10-2 aggregate)

This biggest lost came in the champions league competition when Bayern Munich thrashed, disgraced, humiliated Arsenal 10-2 in an home and away game, making it the seventh successive round of 16 exit for Arsene Wenger. Bayern Munich looked to strong for Arsenal team and it would have been better for Wenger to park the bus here rather than attacking a Bayern Munich team who is very good in attacking football.

Liverpool's vs Arsenal (5-1)

A welcome message for Unai Emery's the new Arsenal manage though not his first lost but it is a way of telling that EPL is the most competitive league in the world because it wasn't an expected result any time any day despite the fact that Liverpool is playing with good intensity now in the league and looking stronger for other teams. Arsenal took the lead through Maitland-Niles in 11 minutes from iwobi cross and Liverpool responded well to the game by equalizing back in the 14 minutes by Roberto Firmino the man that also double the lead in the 16 minutes of play. Sadio Mane quickly make it 3-1 in the 33 minutes from a long cross from Robertson's before Salah scored from the penalty spot after a wrong tackled from Sokratis before the break. Though Arsenal tried to control the game but Liverpool look sharper than them in front of goal as Firmino completed his hat trick from a spot kick in the 65 minutes. Their problem in that match seems to be their back line.
