English football clubs are pretty doing well when it comes to European competitions; both in champions league and Europa league, the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal but recently there are some results that is really hard to believe. Manchester United during the week pulled a great come back to their first leg defeat to Paris Saint German with a 3-3 aggregate that sent them to the next round of the champions league on away goal rule while Arsenal on the other side in the Europa league was shocked by a 3-1 away defeat to Rennes in their first leg and they will now be waiting for their faith when Rennes visit them at Emirates stadium on March 14 in the second leg.

Rennes Vs Arsenal (3-1)

Arsenal was defeated 3-1 at Stade de la Route-de-Lorient in their Europa league round of 16 first leg to Rennes away and it was really a bad outing for the Londoner's as they may just see their Europa league campaign coming to an end if they failed to pull a great come back on March 14 in the second leg of the encounter. Arsenal will have to score at least 2-0 at the Emirates stadium to make sure the proceed to the next round of the competition.

Arsenal will have to face a big test within 4days when the team will be hosting Manchester United at Emirates on March 10 in the league to make sure they finish in the top 4 at the end of the season, they will also have to make everything right against Rennes on March 14 will may be a little bit hard for them to scape through. Manchester United is currently doing fine under the interim coach Ole after rebranding the team and turning them to a big threat both in the league and champions league.

Arsenal had a good control of the game in the earlier minutes of the game before things started falling apart for them. Unai Emery side continue to show that they have come to Stade de la Route-de-Lorient for something serious when Alex Iwobi fires a curling shot into the far post of the net before Sokratis Papastathopoulos' was dismissed for bringing down Ben Alfa and Bourigeaud put Rennes back to the game after scoring a rebound from Ben Alfa free kick before the half break.

The red card changed the whole thing according to Arsenal manager, Arsenal failed to deal with Rennes at the back after the red card and Rennes on the other side capitalized on Arsenal weakness. Bourigeaud was really a thorn in the flesh of Arsenal defends as he continues to create lot of spaces in Arsenal box before Monreal mistakenly cleared a ball past Cech in 65 minutes of the game.

Ismaila Sarr made it 3 for the home team with a brilliant diving header in just 2 minutes to the end of the game from James Lea Siliki beautiful pass. Sarri who was identify as a target for Barcelona has now been involved in 6 goals for the French side in the Europa league this season and his hoping to return to the Emirates with another outstanding display.

Arsenal in the round of 32 had a great come back against Bate Borisov after losing 1-0 in the first leg, the came from behind to progress to round of 16 with 3-0 home win. The second leg against Rennes resume back on March 14 and it is really going to be an interesting match.
