Three things is always involve in the game of football, it is either win, lose or draw and it is not a big deal for a team to lose to another opponent but it is always different when the defeat comes in a whitewash result and such is the case of Newcastle United last week in the English premier league when they visited Arsenal at the Emirates stadium where they were thrashed and disgraced 4 goal to nil, it was really a moan day for the team as they failed to get a consolidation goal. Although, they did everything possible to turn the scoreline around but all their efforts did not bring positive result and that win for the Gunners is the first time since April last year that they have kept a clean sheet back to back in the league and was their 7th league win of the season, so far this season, the Gunners has been struggling in the league by sharing the points with their opponents on 13 different occasions while Newcastle on the other side has lost 12 times in the league with 8 wins and 7 draws, they are currently occupying the 14th position with just 31 points. With all these statistic, Arsenal performance in the league is not far from Newcastle performance and the game between the two sides shouldn't have come in such a big margin win.

The game after the first 45 minutes looks like is going to end up in another draw for the Gunners because since Arteta has been appointed has the manager of the club, they had played a total of 7 draws with just a loose and since it was a goalless draw in the first half, the fans had began to show their anger before the whole thing turned around in the second half. Newcastle manager Steve Bruce was well criticised for his defensive tactics with five players at the back, although, the plan worked well in the first half as they make Arsenal worked tirelessly with no positive result to show up for it, Newcastle record signing Joelinton who joined the club on a transfer record from Hoffenheim for a fees worth of £40m is not doing well in terms of scoring goals, so far this season, he has only managed a goal for the club despite having more than 45 touches in the opposition half, only 3 had came within the box 18, Newcastle had a good game in the first half despite defending high to avoid a goal from the Gunners and that made the host to won the ball possession on 68% to 32% from Newcastle.

Joelinton would have put the team ahead in the first half but his effort went wide off target, Arsenal finally came back into the game in the second half after been held in the first half, Gabon striker Aubameyang scored the opening goal in the 54 minutes to put his team ahead and to increase his goal tally to 15 goals in the league, the goal came from Pepe brilliant cross out and the striker did well to guide it into the net with his head and few minutes later, Pepe registered his name on the scoring sheet, Arsenal teenager Saka nutmegged Valentino Lazaro to delivered a good square play to Pepe who had first see his chance from a free kick in the first half denied by Dubravka make it 2 goals lead and the host team continues to dominates, pushing forward for more goals and Aubameyang would have scored another goal but his effort landed on top of the net.

The Magpies in the second half were not as good as they were in the first half, the allow Arsenal to open the gap more in the second half, with Aubameyang switching to the second striker role gave the Gunners more space in the visitors box and with 2 goals lead, no one expect the Magpies to pull any wonders but at least should just make sure the game did not move from bad to worst but when we thought the Gunners had gave all they have to offer in the game, Ozil scored the third goal for Arsenal through Lacazette assist and it was such a good goal that involves every of the Arsenal players involving in the goal, the goal was the result of 35 passes from the Gunners players that was later converted into the net by Ozil and when the referee was about to end the game, substitute Lacazette made it 4 goals lead and while Newcastle push for a goal, Saint-Maximin effort hits the post, the Gunners had 17 shots compared to 10 from Newcastle but it was 7 to 2 shits on target respectively.

There is no much to say to encourage the Magpies, their manager has said it all after the game that

When you get a beating like you have, you have to lick your wounds and get on with it.

Newcastle as a team need to lick their wounds and get on with it.
