I think one of the greatest philosophy of life is humanism and it is basically based on the concept of giving help to people rather than being religious bias. Forgetting the type of religion and focusing on helping people around you.
Another great thing football and sport generally does back for the society is organizing charity programmes to support the less privilege. We have witness so many successful players coming back to their home land to set up a foundation as a way of contributing their own quota to the development of the society. Players like C. Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba, Kanu Nwankwo and many more.
Memphis Depay who is currently playing for Olympique Lyon and Dutch forward seems to be among the loyal footballers who never forget their source. Although, Depay was playing his football in the Netherland national team but that is not where he actually originate.
Memphis Depay was born to a Ghanaian father known as Dennis Depay by a Dutch mother. Though he was born and bred in the Dutch land but he never forget where his ancestors came from.
He was currently spotted in Ghana where he was having a great time with the Ghanaian Bisa Kdei and not only that, report has it that he also spent all the night with some of the Cape Coast School of Deaf where he donated money and other goods items.
This is not the first time Depay will be visiting Ghana anyway. The last time he visited Ghana, he donated some money and items to the Ghana blind Union for Sports.
I think to whom much is given much is expected and this is what these players are really doing to contribute part of their success to the development of their society respectively. No matter how small it is, remember every drop makes an ocean and without that drop the ocean will be incomplete.
