It is not what always happen in the round leather game just like in other sports whereby one team will out score the other team but in most cases, it do happens and such is the case of Manchester City against Watford in the premier league yesterday when the citizens thrashed them 8-0 goals to nil. It was really a day to remembered for both clubs. While it might cause a sleepless night for the entire Watford team and their manager, Manchester City on the other end will be full of elation for getting their tactics right.

The league had witnessed lot of big drama like that from some clubs and Manchester City is now the new member of the club. History will never forget 1995 when Manchester United defeated Ipswich 9 goals to nil when Andy Cole stole the show with 5 goals to his name with Hughes scoring 2 goals and Keane together with Paul Ince all on target for United. The most surprising side of it is the fact that Ipswich can't even got a consolidation goal just like Watford failed to do yesterday. Moving away from that is the game between Newcastle and Sheffield in 1999 which ended 8-0 again in favour of Newcastle United and Alan Shearer was the man of the match with 5 goals as well with Kieron Dyer, Gary Speed and Aaron Hughes scoring 1 goal respectively.

The premier league had witnessed lot of greatest winning margins, in 2009, Tottenham Hotspur joined the club by defeating Wigan 9-1 and this time around, Wigan had a consolidation goal. To paraphrase the whole thing, Chelsea remains the chairman of the massive win club by appearing twice on the list, one in 2010 against Wigan and it was 8 goals to nil and the second time Chelsea will be getting this kind of scoreline is in 2012 when they defeated Aston Villa 8-0 as well. Torres was the man who opened the scoring in just 3 minutes into the game and Aston Villa find it very difficult to hold them back as they went on to score 3 goals in first half and 5 goals in second half. Southampton were not left out in the club as they also thrashed Sunderland 8-0 in 2014 before Manchester City finally joins.

Manchester city after facing a shocking defeat to Norwich last weekend knows they really need to step up their game if they will be challenging Liverpool for the title again and Watford were so unlucky to be their next opponent. Things is not really going well for Watford this season as they have gotten the services of a new manager in just four games of the league. Although, they came from a two goals down against the gunners last week to shared the points but player Arsenal and Manchester City in a roll is a big test for the new manager Flores.

It doesn't took too long for the party to begin at Eithad stadium yesterday when David Silva opened the scoring account in just 1 minutes into the game when Kevin De Bruyne delivered a brilliant cross to him and 7 minutes later, Aguero doubled the lead from the spot after Ben Foster had fouled Mahrez in the box and that take the Argentina forward goals to 100 goals at home for Manchester City. Mahrex made it 3 goals after his effort from the free kick was deflected past Foster. The Tempo was so high for them as they put 5 goals past Foster within the range of 18 minutes, Bernardo Silva and Otamendi both scoring in 15 and 18 minutes respectively.

Watford would have wish the game ended like that but they still have the second half test to face from the citizens, 5 beautiful goals in the first half was not really enough for Manchester City as they added another 3 goals in the second half. Bernardo Silva added another 2 goals to completed his hattrick in the 48 and 60 minutes before Kevin registering his name on the list in the 85 minutes. Manchester city with the scoreline are now the newest team to win with a bigger margin in the league.
