Transfer deadline day is a such a late drama that most fans anticipate for while many fans don't really like it just like me because this is the period when you will be surprised to see some players leaving their club without much notice. While many clubs are busy buying players right from the moment the transfer window open, some clubs will just relax and be waiting for deadline day and that is when you will start hearing some kind of shocking news that one player is leaving for another club or one player is having medical in a particular club and you will be surprised what the player is thinking about since the transfer market open and never tell his club that he is leaving.
Although, there are some players that are in the radar of the club to join another club probably on a loan deal or on a permanent deal but transfer deadline day has witnessed lots of players you never could imagine will be leaving their club and the news will just come that he has show interest to leave on a deadline day. This always turned out to be an heart breaking news to fans of the affected club while the fans of other club awaiting the arrival of the player will be happy to see the player in their club.
So far so good, transfer deadline day has witnessed lots of late drama that really shocked many fans out there, let me go straight to the list of some of the players that left their respective clubs on a deadline day to join another club.
Claude Makelele
Chelsea fans will never forget this strong man who won their heart with the way he control the midfield. While the arrival of Makelele in Chelsea's colour was accompanied with a great feeling of elation, it was a thorn in the flesh to many Real Madrid fans back in 2003 when he left the club on a transfer deadline day. In fact it was a disappointing news for his partner in the Madrid midfield Zidane. Makelele. He went on to win the premier league for Chelsea back to back before left the club for PSG in 2008
Ashley Cole
Ashley Cole is another player that switch his club for another club on a transfer deadline day. This player after proving himself as one of the best left back in the premier league broke the heart of many Arsenal fans to Join Chelsea in 2006 and in fact, the transfer really caused a lots of havoc between Arsenal and Chelsea when the player and Chelsea were finally fined for engaging in an illegal talk. Ashley Cole before joining Chelsea won two major trophies and after he joined Chelsea, he won so many trophies with the club with champions league as one of the major trophies.
Hugo Lloris
Another transfer deal on a deadline day also saw Hugo Lloris switching Lyon for Tottenham in 2012 and has went on to established himself in the Tottenham team as a very important player for the club. It was really a good signing for Tottenham at a price of £8million then but many Lyon fans will wish the deal never happened.
The list of players who left their respective clubs on the transfer deadline day is not limited to those ones above, the world of football has really witnessed lots of drama on the deadline day and I personally don't like it because it is heartbreaking most of the time.
