The competition is very high at Stamford Bridge this season as young starlet Tammy Abraham suddenly cemented his place as the first choice up front for Chelsea leaving the likes of Michy Batshuayi and the club highest goal scorer in the Europa league last season Giroud on bench. With the look of things now, it seems Giroud is even the third choice now as he has played just few games this season due to the form of Abraham for the club in all competition. Batshuayi on the other hand look like the second choice now as he has come in on many occasions for the young inform striker.

It will really be hard for any manager to switch to either Michy or Giroud with the scoring rate of Tammy per game but yet the other two strikers are not looking bad as well as both have been instrumental for their respective country in the recent international break in a bid to qualify for the next year European tournament. Leaving Giroud out of this discussion, Batshuayi really deserve some game time but it will be very hard for him to break in into the Blues starting line up. Since joining Chelsea back in 2016, Michy has been struggling with playing time and that has led to him going out on loan on 3 different occasions to prove his worth.

He joined Borussia Dortmund in 2018 and the Blues almost lose him to Dortmund due to the form he hit at the club, scoring 7 goals in 10 matches but due to the ankle ligament injury sustained, he had to leave the club and after recovering from the injury, it was also hard for him to became the first choice at the Bridge and was made to join Valencia again on a loan deal where he struggled to registered a goal to his name in 15 appearances. His third loan spell was at Crystal palace when his loan deal at Valencia was cut short.

He joined Crystal palace in the January transfer deal on another loan and wasn't a bad one anyway with 5goals in 11 matches for the club before returning back to Chelsea and everyone will think this is the Belgium forward time with the fact that the Chelsea is not allow to bring in new player to the club. Many of their players on loan at different clubs had to return to the club to fight for their place with Tammy Abraham as well coming back to the team from Aston Villa on loan.

Batshuayi has only managed only 45 minutes this season in the league scoring the last goal for the club against Southampton before joining the Belgium team for their EURO 2020 qualifying games, though he did not feature for the team when they trashed San Marino but got his chance against Kazakhstan and took it very well after scoring the first goal in the 2-0 win to Kazakhstan. Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has now warned Michy to try and get enough playing time at club level in peparation for European tournament next year which means the player may force his way out of Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window but where i think the problem will arise for the Blues if they allow Michy to go permanently is the fact that Abraham may not continue with his goal scoring form and with Giroud future at the club not also guarantee, they club need to keep Michy and also allow him to prove himself just like Tammy did.
