One amazing thing about the game of sport is the fact that it allows the manager to get some recognition for the way they have been able to manage the team week in week out. The English Premier League is not an exemption here as it also gives out award to the best league manager every month based how how their team has performed during the month. The award aside from the good performance is also decides by some football expect and some football fans being casting their votes online.

Nominee's

The EPL manager of the month for October nominees has been release and football fans now have till Monday to decide who their favourite manager of the should be. The award for the month of September was won by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp with the impressive run of Liverpool in the league and it is a well deserved award for Klopp because his team are the major contestant for the league title this season after winning all of the September league matches to stay on top of the league table. Liverpool win the first game in September against Newcastle in a 3-1 scoreline before defeating Chelsea in front of their fans 2-1 in a game where Ngolo Kante score a brilliant goal for Chelsea and the also went on to finish the month with another narrow win away to Sheffield United, thanks to goal from Wijnaldum that sealed the 3 points in that game. Liverpool went of to score 6 goals and concede just 2 goals in that month and that gave Klopp the chance to win the award.

The managers on the October list has been released and it was a list of managers that really had a good run in the month of October, the list goes thus; Jurgen Klopp, Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers or Dean Smith. You will agree with me that the list is a perfect one with Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp returning back to the list and Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard on the list as well, Brighton manager Graham Potter, Leicester City manager Brendan Rogers and Aston Villa manager Dean Smith all got the recognition for the way they have been able to manage their respective clubs through the month. Who do you think really deserve the award out of all these managers? Let me quickly take you through how their teams had performed through the month of October and see who is the favourite among them to win it.

Jurgen Klopp

The Liverpool manager who won the award for the month of September is again on the list and it wasn't a mistake that he made it to the list again taking a look at the performance of Liverpool in the month of October. The team played a total games of 3 in the league against Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham, winning against Leicester and Tottenham and a draw against United. The team winning streak actually comes to an end in October but their unbeaten run still continues. The team scored 5 goals and conceded 3 goals against their opponents.

Frank Lampard

Personally, i think the Blues manager deserve some accolade with the way he has been able to put the team together this season despite some injury crises affecting some senior players in the club. Chelsea really had a perfect October month by winning all of their league matches for the month. Starting with a 4-1 win against Southampton away from home and another narrow escape against Newcastle at home with Alonso rescuing the point here for the club. The blues continues their winning streak for the month against Burnley away from home in a game where America captain Pulisic took the show with his hat-trick goal before Burnley came from behind to make it 4-2 in the game. The blues score a total of 9 goals and conceded just 3 against their opponents in October.

Graham Potter

Another team that really did well in the month of October is Graham Potter side Brighton when they hosted Tottenham at home and defeated the club 3goals to nil in a game where Connolly got a brace goal and Moupay was also on target for the club. Their second game in October wasn't a good one anyway as the lost 2-1 to Aston Villa away from home but they actually done the defeat around when the hosted Everton in a 3-2 win. Graham Potter has done well to guide his team to 2 wins and a defeat in the month of October, his team when ahead to scored 7 goals and Conceded 4 against their opponents in October.

Brendan Rogers

Leicester City are looking more desperate again in the league this season and that can not be farfetched from the good work of their Brendan Rogers and their performance in the league this season has placed them in the top 4 race. Despite loosing their first game in October to league leader Liverpool in a 2-1 score line, they won their next game against Burnley 2 goals to 1 before thrashing Southampton away from home 9 goals to nil which is actually the biggest away win in the league and what actually placed the club behind Manchester United in the league biggest win. It is a month to remember in the history of the club. The scored 12 goals and conceded 3 goals against their opponents in the month.

Dean Smith

The final manager on the list for the award is Aston Villa manager Dean Smith which guided his team yo 2 wins in three outing in the month of October. Aston Villa started the month with a massive win against Norwich City in a 5-1 scoreline before defeating Brighton 2-1 in a game that looks like what is going to end up in a draw. Their downside in the month was against Manchester City when the visited the Eithad stadium, they lost the game to the citizens 3 goals to nil. It was a good month even though it is not 100% perfect, getting 6 points in 3 games is not really a bad one. The also went on to scored 7 goals and conceded 5 goals in October.

After looking out how those managers has really performed in the month of October, it is obviously clear that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is the only manager with the 100% performance in the month following by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp with 2 wins and a draw but it wasn't a bad month for the remaining managers as well as they all had 6 points out of possible 9 points in the league for the month of October. The vote is still widely open till Monday and you can go to the official premier league website to vote for your manager of the month.
