The player is loaned by the Catalans to Bayern Munich, who does not seem interested in staying with him.

The website “Transfermarket” speaks of a certainty: Philippe Coutinho will leave Bayern Munich and return to the sunniest pitch in Barcelona. After a disappointing season, the 27-year-old would return to a club and a stadium where he was not truly happy. Despite this, Catalan coach Quique Setién is already waiting for Coutinho to return.

Setién told RAC 1 radio, quoted by the newspaper “Sport”: “I like him very much, he is a 'made' player for Barcelona. They (the interested clubs) would have to pay the clause or an amount that would push the club forward. I count on him here for the beginning of the next season. I don't know what he wants to do. You may have to talk to him about it. But, without a doubt, he is a great player ”.

Disinterested seems to be Bayern, which has an option to hire Coutinho for 120 million euros. The Brazilian international cost more than that: 145 million, coming from Liverpool to Barcelona in 2018. Only compatriot Neymar was more expensive in football history.

Recently, Chelsea and Tottenham were in the news for their interest in Coutinho. However, it all depends on the Catalans, whose contract with the player is valid until 2023, while the termination clause comes down to a modest 400 million euros.
