Atletico Madrid authorities don't hide dissatisfaction of the omission of Antoine Griezmann in The Best FIFA Football Awards 2018. On Atletico Madrid Twitter account we can see an entry, on which the Frenchman poses with three trophies won this year, which was signed: "No words necessary".

On Monday FIFA announced a list of three players who will have a chance to win the prize for the player of the year. Those are: Luka Modrić, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah, while according to many fans Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann are missing in that list. In Spain widely commented was especially lack of Griezmann. The Atletico Madrid star had a great year and club authorities are dissatisfied that Antoine wasn't appreciated.

Griezmann's list with his achievements of this year is very long. He was chosen the best player of the Europa League, scoring two goals in the final in Lyon (Atlético defeated Olympique de Marseille 3: 0). Griezmann also led his team to runner-up for Spain in the season in which Rojiblancos finished the competition higher than Real Madrid. Taking into consideration all matches, the French player participated in 32 goals and we can read in the newspaper "Marca" that he worked very hard for the team the whole year and it was unnoticed. Atletico's authorities also point out his outstanding and remarkable performance at the World Cup. He won the prize for the third best footballer of the tournament and with the French team he reached the world championship.

In the last season, Griezmann led his teams to three trophies (Europa League, European Super Cup, and world championship), however as we can see it was not enough to be in the top three players of the globe. - FIFA The Best?

Theo Griezmann, Antoine's brother, reacted and wrote on his Twitter account that it is a scandal! 😱

"Zero world champion among the 3 finalists #TheBest! Oh yes @fifacom_fr I forgot that the @fifaworldcup_fr was a trophy of shit!
Your trophy will never be as important as #BallonDor. #FIFAFootballAwards"

The representatives of the Madrid club reacted even more sharply. On Monday afternoon on Atletico's Twitter they published an entry, on the picture we can see Griezmann with three trophies won in the last season, with the signature: "No words necessary".
