The portal "Transfermarkt.de" has published a list of players who lost much of their market value last year. Among the mentioned athletes, there was also Robert Lewandowski. The value of the Pole decreased by as much as 20 million euros.

Lewandowski can not consider last year as completely successful. It is true that together with Bayern Munich they won the championship and the German Super Cup, but this is the only last year's trophies that can boast a 30-year-old player. The Bavarians were eliminated in the semi-final of the Champions League, losing against Real Madrid 3:4.

Also, the World Cup in Russia did not go as well as Lewandowski would wish, because the Poles' team failed to advance from the group.

All these events influenced the market value of the Bayern player. It turns out that compared to 2017, it fell by 20 million euros. Currently, he is worth 70 million. The last time Lewandowski was valued for such amount was in 2016.

But Lewandowski is not the only player whose market value has decreased a lot in comparison to the previous years. Four other Bayern players also lost:

  • Thomas Mueller (from 60 million to 40 million)
  • Manuel Neuer (from 35 million to 22 million)
  • Jarome Boateng (from 45 million to 30 million)
