Burnley once again showed that they are one heck of a hard nut to crack after ending Liverpool's home-winning run this season with a 1-all draw at Anfield. Jay Rodriguez's 69th-minute finish cancelled out Andrew Robertson's 34th-minute header to hand Liverpool their 1st points dropped at home.

Burnley has a habit of throwing a spanner into the wheel of EPL frontrunners ever since they gained promotion in 2016/17 season. It was such audacity that saw them finished the following season(2017/18) in 7th position, recorded memorable results that include 3-2 win at Stamford Bridge, draws at Old Trafford(2-2), Spurs(1-1), including at Anfield(1-1) en route to that 7th-place finish. However, a disappointing 15th-place finish in the following season(2018/19) ultimately places Sean Dyche and his dogged men under the media radar.

Burnley's start to 2019/20 season wasn't smooth either and between October and the first week of January, Burnley had lost 10 league matches in 15 matches(Win 5 & Loss 10). However, Dyche seems to have breathed life into his wards again, The Clarets, since the 3 nil loss to Chelsea in January has lost just once(pre/post COVID-19 lockdown), the 0-5 defeat at the hand of Manchester City being the only defeat in 13 league matches(W7, D5 & L1).

The clip in Liverpool's wings is just one of countless fast one Burnley had pulled on the traditional big 4-6 teams in the past. The reason why some refer to them has one of EPL Bogey team.

Having seen their home wins party thwarted by The Claret, The Reds now need 8 points and has to dig deep if they are to break City's 100-point mark with the remaining 3 matches of the season that include away at Arsenal, home against Chelsea & away at Newcastle United, tricky fixtures if you ask me. Another record Liverpool still chase is the 32-win total in a single season set yet again by The Citizens.

Thank you all.
