Inter Milan new manager Antonio Conte will on Saturday have a taste of the yearly Derby Della Madonnina or Derby di Milano(Milan Derby), as the Italian tactician aims to consolidate Inter's top place in Serie A log table, in a keenly anticipated matchday 4 contest against city rival AC Milan.

One of the most popular derby in Serie A, AC-Inter clash will go a long way this season to see which of the rivals is battle-ready to break Juventus stronghold on the Scudetto. The last time Juventus would not beat either of AC & Inter to a domestic title was in the 2010/11 season when AC won the Scudetto and Inter won the Coppa Italia, it has been 8-drought seasons for the city rivals since then. There's no better way to test each other's resolves than against each other in an early-season fixture.

AC MILAN [P3, W2, D0, L1 & Pts 6]

AC Milan began the season with a disappointing 0-1 loss at Udinese but have since bounced back with a back-to-back wins to sit 7th on log table, however, the Marco Giampaolo tutored side is finding goals hard to come by, as the likes of Krzysztof Piatek, Suso, Fabio Borini have all struggled in front of opposition goal. The Rossoneri will sure need to dig deep if they are to break down Inter Milan on Saturday.

INTER MILAN [P3, W3, D0, L0 & Pts 9]

Inter Milan has a title-winning manager in Antonio Conte, 3 times Scudetto winner with Juventus and 1 with Chelsea in the English League, Inter has a genuine chance of title push this season. They started the league on a promising note with 3 wins out of their 3 fixtures so far, scored 7 and conceded just 1. Romelu Lukaku(brought in during the summer window alongside ex-Manchester United teammate Alexi Sanchez) has come in handy with 2 goals, and will surely be crucial to Inter's title push.

Serie A Last 5 H2H [AC Milan W0-D2- W3 Inter]

Inter had dominated the last 5 league fixtures over their city rival, the Nerazzurri had won 3 and drawn 2 over AC Milan. AC's last league win over Inter was in January of 2016 when Alex, Carlos Bacca and Mbaye Niang condemned Inter to defeat. However, Inter completed a double over AC last season(3-2, 1-0) and has all it takes to repeat the feat this season.

AC Milan manager Giampaolo has been mostly deploying a 4-3-2-1 formation this season, Lucas Paquette & Suso playing just behind the centre forward Piatek. However, the battle will be in the midfield where AC's midfield trio of Kessie, Biglia and Calhanoglu come up against Inter's quartet of Asamoah, Brozovic, Barella & Candreva in a 3-4-2-1 Conte's renowned formation. Inter's usual suspect target man will be Lukaku.

PREDICTION

AC Milan 0-2 Inter Milan,

AC Milan lack of goals put them on the back seat against their rival who had notched 7 goals already, nonetheless, Derby matches are often time hard to predict correctly. It may as well ends in a score draw.

Thank you all for your time.
