The situation at Manchester United with the manager Jose Mourinho and some of his players is a news that will be in the media houses for quit a while, especially the current news of disintegrated relationship between Mourinho and Paul Pogba, a while back it was Anthonia Marshall, and further back was Luke Shaw and maybe soon it will be Alexi Sanchez.
Manager Jose Mourinho is know for picking on his players wherever and which ever football club he has been to, and mentioned here are some of his players he fell out with.
Cristiano Ronaldo:
Top on my list was Mourinho's fell out with CR7 when he was at Real Madrid, and it was rumoured it played major factor in him Mourinho parting ways with Real.Mourinho-Ronaldo fallout got to climax in Jan of 2013 to extent news had it that Mourinho often time pass instructions to CR7 through his assistant coaches.
Iker Casillas:
It could be recalled how Mourinho's relationship with one of iconic figure in Real locker room Iker Casillas deteriorated, to extent Mourinho brought in another goalkeeper in a certain Lopez and Casillas was confined to Real bench and was eventually sold. Casillas offence? He was too close(friendship) with rivals Barcelona players.
Ricardo Quaresman:
He was signed to Inter Milan by Mourinho in 2008, and it looks like it is going to be a Portuguese "bromance", but things quickly went down south between the two as Mourinho will not tolerate Quaresman over-exuberance and 2,3 step-overs too many. It got really worst that Quaresman was quoted saying signing for iInter Milan was his "biggest regret"
Juan Mata:
In Mourinho's second stint at Chelsea, he was never a fan of Juan Mata, as the Spaniard was unsuitable to Mourinho style of play despite Mata been Chelsea player of the year two years in a role, Mata was eventually sold to Manchester United in January of 2014 though fate soon brought both back together when Mourinho signed for United in 2016.
Samuel Etoo:
Mourinho's relationship with Etoo at Chelsea in 2013 wasn't as cordial as at Inter Milan, Mourinho at some stage publicly questioned Eto'os age suggesting Etoo might be older than claimed; " i have Etoo but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?", in response Etoo called Mourinho "a fool" and "a puppet".
William Gallas:
Who will forget the infamous claim to score an own goal by William Gallas if his "want away" wish is not granted. Gallas played for Chelsea for about 5 or 6 years, and his later years at Chelsea was marred by bust ups with Mourinho, Gallas claimed his jersey number 13 was given to Michael Ballack without his consent was disrespectful coupled with him Gallas fallen down pecking order behind recently acquired Ricardo Carvalho.
Jose Mourinho's tactical know-how is top notch or maybe used to be, but his history of bust ups with players ; Adrien Mutu(Chelsea), young Romelu Lukaku(Chelsea), Pepe(Real Madrid) and so on has brought more questions than answers about his Mourinho's man/player management.
Could Samuel Etoo's 2016 remarks be overwhelmingly accepted now ; "Mourinho is no longer the special one...Pep Guardiola is".
