Stand up for champion of England as Liverpool wins her 1st league title in 30 years. There is nothing to be said about the champions that have not been said already. The Reds or should i say Klopp's Army was relentless, ruthless and consistent all season long and are a worthy champion.

From the safe hands between the goal post, man by Alisson Becker to the immoveable back four(4) marshall by Virgil Van Dijk, and from the combativeness of midfielders anchor by Captain Jordan Henderson to the finesse of the front Three(3) led by Mo Sallah, the numbers just racks up, remarkable and don't lie.

In the City of Manchester, however, the same can not be said of Pep Guardiola tutored Manchester City. Guardiola can only watch helplessly as the season passes by and City's title chase gradually faded and their faith eventually sealed by Chelsea on matchday 31. Most will say City's inability to match Liverpool ruthlessness was Guardiola's making.

Guardiola opted not to strengthen City's centre-halves department after the departure of long-standing captain and defender Vincent Kompany and that adamant decision came back to haunt him and City dearly. It is one thing to concede the league title to Liverpool but another to relinquish it in such manner as they did. A whopping 23 points behind Liverpool and 7 league games yet to be played show how far City has fallen behind since they lifted the title back to back.

With Kompany departed and thin in defensive options, Manchester City played most part of the season without their best defender Aymeric Laporte(arguably the best EPL defender behind Liverpool's Van Dijk) and had to make-shift midfielders such as Fernandinho and Rodri to fill in as centre-halves. The result was clear and imminent with Liverpool in such impenetrable and impeccable form.

The EPL trophy will be handed to Liverpool on Manchester City's own turf, with The Citizens expected to form a guard of honour for Klopp's Army, a considerable compensation to Liverpool having been pipped to the title by the whisker by the same adversary last season. How Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will take pleasure at that moment.

Thank you all.
