Sergio Kun Aguero scored a hat-trick in a 6 nil demolition of Chelsea on Sunday evening, the Argentine now shares top spot with the great Alan Shearer with 11 hat-tricks each on the English Premier League elite group of hat-trick scorers, Agueros tremble goals on the day made it 2nd hat-trick in 8 days, having put 3 past another London club, Arsenal. He is now shoulder high alongside Alan Shearer above EPL legends such as Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry... as shown below, and at 30 years old with at least 3 more years of active football, he certainly has the chance to go above Alan Shearer.

Kun Aguero had already written his name into the Citizen history book with his injury-time, title-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers in his debut season, 2011, nonetheless, his 3 goals on Sunday made it his 160th English premier league goals in 229 caps in his 8 seasons so far, in effect making him the all-time leading scorer for Manchester City in the premier league, breaking the records previously held by club legends, Tommy Johnson between 1920-1930 and Eric Brook between 1927-1940, both on 158 league goals, and thus rubber stamping his status as a history-maker for the Citizen.

Aguero's feat in Manchester City's shirt keeps on coming, his 160th-premier league goals added to his 41 premier league assists made it 201 premier league goal involvement for City, making him only the 6th player in the premier league to achieve 200 or more goal involvement for just 1 club behind premier league legends that includes, ex-Manchester United duo, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs, ex-Arsenal ace, Thierry Henry, ex-Chelsea, Frank Lampard and ex-Liverpool, Steven Gerrard.

It gets even prettier for Kun Aguero, as he is now ranked 8th on the English Premier League all-time leading scorers list with his 160 goals, just 2 goals adrift of Englishman, Jermain Defoe in 7th, and 3 goals behind Defoe's countryman, Robbie Fowler in 6th position, it is only a matter of time before Kun Aguero upstage these 2.

Aguero's exploits are not limited to the premier league, his 8 seasons had produced a combined total of 62 goals in cup competitions, 35 of which is also Citys all-time highest in European competitions.

Unlike some other strikers, Aguero is certainly a big-match performer, his hat-trick against Chelsea was is 15th goal(10 goals in premier league fixtures) in 17 matchups against them in all competitions, and his 43rd goal against the current big 6 clubs in 64 matches since his arrival into the premier league in 2011, he always brings his A game against top teams.

Manchester City are surely reaping the rewards of breaking their transfer record in the summer of 2011 to bring in Sergio Aguero, the then 23-year-old Argentine was brought in from Spanish giant, Athletico Madrid for a reported fee of £35M ($453M), and he was an instant hit as Manchester City edged their city rival, Manchester United to the league title via a dramatic late double by Sergio Aguero in a 3-2 win over QPR in the last game of the season. Aguero had since gone on to win 3 premier league titles, 3 English Football League Cups and 2 Community Shields for the Citizens. He had only twice failed to score 20 or more premier league goals in 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons as shown in his EPL career stat. He is already on 17 goals in the present campaign, joint top alongside ace, Mo Salah and definitely in the running for the golden boot award, an award he won in 2014/15 season.

In terms of a goalscorer, he is the greatest we have seen in the premier league. That is the difference between him and the other greats, he is a goalscorer rather than the greatest all-round player,

those are the words of SkySports pundit, Jamie Carragher, he couldn't have said it better, Aguero is a consistent goalscorer, he has proven this over the past 8 seasons and still counting.

Manchester City now leads the premier league table on goal difference having played 1 game more than their rival, Liverpool, their quest to defend the premier league title is still well on track, and the role played by their talismanic striker cannot be overemphasized.
