Ronaldo's Serie A debut came in an entertaining match between Juve and Chievo in Verona.Juve were brilliant for the first 20 minutes or so, taking a well-deserved lead with Khedira's effort in the 3rd minute and coming very close to   scoring again in that spell. However, Chievo scored the equalizer and even took the lead with the help of a goal and an assist from midfielder Giaccherini, at the top of his game today. Juventus refused  to relent in their efforts however, yielding an own goal by the Verona side in the 75th and a game-winner by Bernardeschi in the 93rd. The much-anticipated debut by Ronaldo didn't see him make the scoresheet, but he remained involved nonetheless, managing a handful of shots on target and being the perpetrator in a spot of confusion in front of goal that eventually rewarded Chievo with an overturned goal and a free kick after VAR review. Ultimately, Juventus did not breeze through this game as they would've liked, but Chievo's courageous effort was not enough to match the stellar side from Turin and the defending champions took home their first three points of the season.
