According to wikipedia, footvolley is a sport which combines aspect of beach volleyball with football. This thread seeks to create the necessary awareness for this entertaining sport that is rapidly budding. Let's take a ride to the sand folks!!!!

The same, wiki article states that the beautiful game originates from South America. A continent where the soccer gods have been made over the years. Judging from the nature of skills associated with the game, one can easily guess why this beautiful and entertaining sport has found home in the Amazon. The popular Copacabana Beach in Brazil is where the sport can call it's "Mama mia" and the founding father,  Octavio de Moraes deserves a huge mention for bringing such a classical creativity into two sports that seems divergent in a unique way.

Over the years, the sport has garnered support from all corners and its fast becoming rave. The only limitation is the beach sands. In my part of the world, hinterland tropics, it's vastly a sea of mud and no winnowing effect of ocean waves to create a luxury of fine sands. But heck, who cares, how about volleying in the mud (Yucky)!!!!

Personally, all through my life spiking and serving on the volleyball court, the thought of doing something with my feet has been a fantasy to me and I break the rules a times during training. I look forward to starting an active footvolleying  team in my local area but heck, I am not really that flexible with my body and it might just be a mirage....

Hey let's talk footvolleying scorum.......

Ohh... More so, footvolleying is rave among elite footballers too. Below is Gaucho man digging it out on the beach...

What's your take on footvolleying?
