So it happened again. Second time in the last three weeks the Free-bet Giveway Bot favoured me, big time. I got the risk free bet of 10 SCR and was allowed to bet risk-free. If you want to try your luck, don’t forget to look for the contest on Scorum or discord channel.

So, I had 10 SCR and peace of mind knowing that even if I lose, it will come back safely to my wallet. I just had to find a right match and something promising in terms of odds. This time around I was looking for a low-profile game to reduce a bias towards the big-six club. I also made a conscious decision that I would select a game that I am not emotionally attached with where I do not favour a team. I looked for a game with these pre-conditions and chose the match between Everton and Watford.

Betting Analysis

The game was perfect for someone who is new to betting. It was a mid table battle between two teams who had almost equal chance to secure full points. Everton has been very poor defensively and were conceding goals regularly.

They were playing away from home and it was a clear disadvantage for them looking at their recent away form. Having said that, on their day, Everton are more than capable to score away goals with players like Richarlison and Sigurdsson on their side. They also had a better previous record against Watford. But, I knew that the previous record for this match was not relevant. Recent Everton performance was not anywhere near to their previous self.

On the other hand, Watford have reinvented themselves quite well. They have been solid in defence and are physically strong. They can play very well against teams outside of top six and use their strength to their advantage. I also knew that all these mid-table teams do not provide you the sense of security if you want to bet for or against them. Anything can happen. Watford also went through a slightly rough patch recently and just had one win against Crystal Palace.

My Betting Decision - Why Watford?

So, I had a decision to make. I was favouring Watford but was also thinking Everton are capable to score away from home. I first went for a draw but then thought this a risk free bet.

So I decided to bet for a Watford win in their home turf against the struggling Everton side. I knew that Watford would be a tough nut to crack for Everton’s struggling forward line. I was then hoping that Watford finds a way to score.
My Bet

Match Review

I won my bet. Watford won the match 1-0 and it was almost exactly what I predicted to happen. Although Everton had their shots on goal and higher possession away from home against Watford, they could not find the net. Watford were in disarray and their goalie had to make a brilliant save in the first half. But, the goal was not scored and the scoreline was 0-0 in the first half.

By that time, I was starting to panic and thought I lost my bet. I had no hope and did not believe Watford would score a goal. Digne was particularly good in the first half.

Second half did not start on a positive note for the Watford side as they were saved by their goal post from not conceding a goal from Sigurdsson strike. Then, Andre Gray was introduced and Walcott was subbed in. In the 65th minute, the substitute Gray scored a close range goal for Watford, a nice poke. I was smiling. I knew that Everton could score a goal anytime and this match could still be a stalemate.

Walcot had his chances, Digne hit the woodwork, Tosun had a golden opportunity to head a goal in and Zouma was shown double yellow cards. There were plenty of chances for visitors to score a goal but they did not manage to snatch a point. No more goals were scored and Watford had full three points from the game.

And, I won my 10 SCRs bet
