The 30-year-old Argentine bomber officially docked at San Siro with an initial loan agreement of € 18 million plus an option to purchase a permanent € 36 million for the following season.

Higuain transfers occurred after Juventus brought Ronaldo from Real Madrid. Even though he failed to play with Ronaldo in Turin, Higuain was reluctant because he felt it when wearing Madrid from 2009 to 2013.

"I have already played with Ronaldo, so I am now just happy with this new challenge," he said.

Appearing the first time in Milan's training session, Higuain then felt a positive impression about the atmosphere with his new team ahead of the Italian Serie A campaign in the 2018/19 season.

"Milanello has everything that players want to see, lots of purest pitch, history and football. It makes you goosebumps, Milanello is something special," he praised.

"I've played with [Lucas] Biglia for ten years in the [Argentina] national team, I'm very good with him and happy to be able to meet again."
