Juventus captain, Giorgio Chiellini, is optimistic that Paulo Dybala can make history with his team. Chiellini believes, La Joya - nicknamed Dybala - can follow in the footsteps of Juventus legends such as Mauro Camoranesi, Pavel Nedved to David Trezeguet.

Dybala was on the threshold of the Allianz Stadium exit in the summer of 2019.

That's because in the 2018-2019 season, Dybala played far below expectations. Of the 42 matches in all competitions with Juventus, the Argentine-pass footballer only collected 10 goals.

That number is in sharp contrast to Dybala's achievements in 2017-2018. At that time from 46 appearances, the former Palermo player collected 26 goals. In the end Dybala was not sold, it's just that the 26-year-old player sat more on the bench at the start of the season.

Recorded in the first three matches of the 2019-2020 Italian League, Dybala was not dropped twice. Even when it was revealed, Dybala only played 14 minutes when Juventus won 4-3 over Napoli. However, after the third week, Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri began giving Dybala a place.

The trust given by Sarri was not wasted by Dybala. Of the five opportunities down as a starter this season, Dybala scored three goals and two assists. Latest, Dybala bought up all of Juventus' goals in the 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the third matchday of Group D of the Champions League 2019-2020.

"Paulo (Dybala) showed how important he was on Tuesday (against Lokomotiv). He wants to survive, despite having the opportunity to leave. However, as I know he always wants to increase his level, "Chiellini said quoting from Italian Football, Friday (10/25/2019).

"He is one of the men who served as our captain and he certainly deserved it. "I am not surprised if Paulo did what Trezeguet, Camoranesi and Nedved made, which made important history at Juventus," concluded Chiellini, who is undergoing treatment for the ACL injury.
