The third and final round of the group stage have already started as I write this. I will be mentioning about the team who qualified and what other team need to qualify.

Group A:

  1. Uruguay: Qualified
  2. Russia: Qualified
  3. Saudi Arabia: Out
  4. Egypt: Out


Group B:

  1. Spain:
    They need at least a point to qualify against Morocco.
    If they loose, they need portugal to win against Iran, or Portugal to loose by big goal difference against Iran.
  2. Portugal: 

    They need at least a point to qualify against Morocco.
    If they loose, they need Spain to loose against Morocco heavily, as both Spain and Portugal will have 4 points each, the team with better goal difference will progress.

  3. Iran
    Iran must win against Portugal to qualify, or draw against Portugal and hope Spain to loose heavily.

  4. Morocco: They are already out.


Group C

  1. France: They have qualified.
  2. Denmark: A point against France is needed for qualification. Even if they loose, they need Australia not to win against Peru by 2 or more goal difference.
  3. Australia: They must win against Peru and hope Denmark to loose against France.
  4. Peru: They are already out.


Group D

  1. Croatia: They are already into next round.
  2. Nigeria: Nigeria need to win against Argentina or draw against Argentina and hope Iceland don't win over Croatia.
  3. Iceland: Iceland must win against Croatia to have a chance. If Nigeria wins, they are out. If Nigeria and Argentina draws, they need to win by 2 goals or more against Croatia.
  4. Argentina: The only chance for Argentina is to win against Nigeria, but it is not enough. Iceland also need to loose to Croatia for them to have chance. If Iceland wins, Argentina need to defeat Nigeria heavily. (3-0 if Iceland beat Croatia by 1-0)


Group E

  1. Brazil: They just need a draw against Serbia to qualify. If they loose, they need to hope Switzerland to loose against Costa Rica to have a chance.
  2. Switzerland: They will qualify with a draw against Costa Rica or qualify if Serbia loose against Brazil.
  3. Serbia: They must win to qualify on their own. If they draw, Swiss need to loose against Costa Rica by more than 2 goal difference.
  4. Costa Rica: Out


Group F:

  1. Mexico: They aren't in despite having 6 points. If they get a point, they will be group winner. They will be out if they loose, and German win against Korea.
  2. Germany: They need to win by big margin to have clear chance. If they don't it depends on Sweden results. If both draw, Germany will go through as they will have same goal difference but better head to head result. They need to match the Sweden results.
  3. Sweden: Sweden must win by better margin than Germany if Germany wins. They will go through if Germany draws or loose.
  4. South Korea: They still have a chance. If both Germany and Sweden looses, Korea need to beat Germany and better their goal difference.

Group G

  1. England: Qualified. The game against Belgium will determine the group winner.
  2. Belgium: Qualified
  3. Tunisia: Out
  4. Panama: Out


Group H

  1. Japan: A point against Poland is sufficient for qualification. They will also qualify if they fail to win and Colombia defeats Senegal by worse margin.
  2. Senegal: A point against Colombia is sufficient for qualification.  They will also qualify if they fail to win and Poland defeats Japan by worse margin.
  3. Colombia: Must defeat Senegal to qualify. If they draw, Japan need to loose against Poland for their chance, as they have better goal difference.
  4. Poland: Out.
