Manchester United (MU) manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in hijacking playmaker Mesut Ozil from Arsenal in the second half of January's transfer window.

Last season Mourinho was claimed to want Ozil in his squad, but his efforts did not bear fruit after the German player preferred to extend his contract at Arsenal.

Mourinho's ambition to bring Ozil to MU apparently has not been extinguished. The Portuguese manager is now believed to be trying to catch up again with Ozil's signature.

The reappearance of Mourinho's desire to attract Ozil was inseparable from the unfavorable situation which reportedly happened between Ozil and his manager at Arsenal, Unai Emery.

In the past few weeks, Ozil has been rumored to have been fighting with Unai Emery. He was reportedly unhappy with the decision of the former PSG tactician who reserved him before yesterday's international break.

Reported by the Sunday Express, Mourinho was rumored to be monitoring Ozil's situation at Arsenal and preparing to bid if the 29-year-old playmaker did want to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Started to improve

Ozil himself has been trusted again by Emery to play since the first minute in the match against the hosts Newcastle United on Saturday (9/15) yesterday.

Ozil answered this belief by successfully contributing one goal while leading the Gunners home with a 2-1 victory.
