Amazing result for Liverpool and what a wonderful night for their wonderful city. Henderson is playing great in the midfield. He asked Klopp not to be so deep, and now he’s showing Klopp how good he could be on an attacking role. Hope they can win the cl and the title. Hendo seems like a different player! Playing a lot better in a little more advanced role. Trent looks a little vulnerable though, just like the Southampton game. They should keep this midfield for Chelsea.

Keita waking up! Van Dijk is just so solid and Mane fooling his defender they look so good. Henderson has been immense! Constantly running between the lines, driving forward and spreading the ball into dangerous space. Overall, the teams pressed well and been quick at transitions into attack. Also enjoying how much better Salah is playing already as he is looking to constantly attack and attack some more! A very good game in the first round and hopefully in the second round they can play together later. Hendo Man of the match by far, he was unreal tonight. Their midfield was lit.

The defense was tremendous and attack from Salah, Mane, and Firmino gave a solid performance. Keita is finally showing why Liverpool paid big bucks to bring him on board. Hendo silencing the critics yet again with a fine performance. I thought they played extremely well against a really solid and exceptional side. Their pressing was immense the entire game. Happy with it, Keita improving with every game and actually a better result than at Anfield last year. The score that any home team would take in the first leg. Hendo was awesome tonight, as was Naby and Milly.

They got the result and a clean sheet time to slowly crank up the energy to unleash it all against Chelsea at fortress Anfield-they need a fully vocal Anfield to scream & shout for every ball. Clean sheet so much more important than grabbing that 3rd goal. Naby starting to come on. Hendo looking great further forward like during the run-in in 2014. Good performance and a good platform for next week to finish the job off. The midfield 3 were excellent, Milly did well at left-back.
