This game also proves that Emerson is better than Alonso. Zappacosta is good offensively but not so good defensively. Despite not scoring Kovacic and Kante were fantastic.I think Cahil needs to leave Chelsea and Fabregas doesn't have the legs anymore. Morata was not given much service. Kovacic was their best player today.
Chelsea was poor!! There were no positives! I'm lying the only positive is that why that's their second team! Cahill was poor!! willian! Sorry, he took the game to them but fell off last 20 mins just like the whole team in the second half. I think Sarri made a mistake by taking of Christensen and leaving Cahill on Fabregas has no idea of how to play this Jorginho role. Also, Fabregas is way past his best despite scoring.
Cahill cannot play Sarriball. He cannot pass. The entire dynamic of the game changes with players like Luiz and rüdiger on the pitch who can pass. Sarriball depends on having a passing defense. With Cahill in the lineup, it affects not only the defense with his poor pace and defending but also the offense with his even more poor passing. I don’t mean to hate on Cahill but while he could play under Conte he cannot play Sarriball.
The problem they have these moments as a team where the players freestyle and don't stick to the instructions and work they go through in training, the way Sarri wants to play is one two touch pass and move football at a high speed but for some reason their players are always making useless dribbles something that defeats Sarri tactics.
What Chelsea fans need to is thank derby for showing them where and wherein the team needs more work. Derby showcase and proved why they defeated Man u, Derby is a good team. Lampard is really doing a good job there. Derby looks like they were gonna score anytime they go forward. Am very proud of those kids and am sure Super Franky is proud of his team too. Derby played better. I can see Derby county on Premier league if they continue to play like this and keep on improving.
