If Sarri gets sacked after winning the Europa League and coming 3rd and also getting to a Carabao Cup Final, that is a disgrace. It was his transition season and yes maybe Chelsea was lucky but he still got it. And if Lampard came in and struggled would you turn on him as well if he was doing poorly? I’d love Lampard as manager one day but I’m not sure if now is the time. Give frank some more time to develop as a manager and get more experience and see where Sarri takes them. Chelsea made to a final by beating two eventual champions league finalists and then playing the best team in England. Then after getting thrashed by the city in the league, they took them to pks, this shows Sarri improved something. Although it would have been nice to win it they made to another final. I don’t understand how this could possibly go down as a bad season.

What more does the board expect from Sarri? He got them Champions League football, he got them to a cup final and he got them into the Europa League final. Plus he managed to make Chelsea finish 3rd behind two of the best premier league sides we’ve ever seen. Even after shit performances they still managed to finish ahead of Spurs, Man United and Arsenal. He’s given minutes to Ampadu, Hudson Odoi, and Loftus Cheek. Something previous managers wouldn’t do. Respect Frank and success but he’s not even in the premier league yet. This would be a foolish move by the board. I love Lampard, but Sarri needs more time and Lampard needs more experience as a manager. Super Frank needs to stay with his team and get some more experience under his belt, one bad season at Chelsea and they will get rid of him and he will have to start over.

As much as I dream of Frank Lampard managing Chelsea, he's on the verge of a possible EPL promotion with his underrated young Derby County side. Sarri had his problems earlier in the season like starting Alonso, not using Chelsea academy graduates/players, and finding a tactical way to decrease Jorginho's exposure to high pressing teams. He changed all that and their team is playing Emerson, playing academy players, and Jorginho is playing like the Jorginho they bought. So why sack Sarri when their main goal was to qualify top 4 or win the Europa League so they can play UCL next year. Sarri finished 3rd, Hazard had his statistically best season, they made it the EFL and Europa League final, they got a good replacement for Courtois, Hudson-Odoi and others are playing (but injured), and they have improved from their devastation. Sarri must stay at Chelsea. He's changed their team so much and there's still much more to improve to be both EPL and UCL title contenders again.
