I want them to connect. As strikers, the position they actually play. They have an amazing connection but they can’t connect if one isn’t starting or if one is out of position out wide. Both should be in the middle, one (preferably lacazette) lying deeper as a CF.
I especially love how we have competition for first team spots now, like with licsteiner, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac, Monreal, Lacazette, Leno. It’s really good, but a few we could also sell for a bit of cash to bring in a centre back and the first team wouldn’t even be touched. We could genuinely bring in like a top center back, selling the likes of Xhaka, Elneny, Ramsey, Ospina and it wouldn’t effect the first team what so ever. Especially with elneny being worth 30 milion. We literally could bring in a Koulibaly / Boateng / Manolas with that money and replace either Mustafi or Sokratis and have them benched as more great competition. And with all this done our team would look absolutely incredible and could beat anyone on our day, I think that would definitely contend with the city.
They should start together. Lacazette made our team looks much more alive when he came on! The link-up play in the final third was absolutely embarrassing, and when Lacazette came on it was much much better, especially between the both of them, also torreira made the defence look much better. Their connection is why they have to be on top together. They cant connect if Auba is out wide, not to mention auba is not a winger. Laca auba could be the next ronaldo-benzema partnership.
