It was another glorious outing for the Spanish champions Barcelona at the Camp Nou, as they subjected Valencia to a 5-2 defeat without Messi in the Lineup. You will agree with me that one of the biggest fears at the Camp Nou over the years have been about how the Catalan giants will thrive when the Argentine Legend hangs his boots. However, it seems the those fears are currently being taken care of, as the team have been able to push their limits so far without their talisman.

One of the major steps taken is the signing of younger players like De Jong and also incorporating academy players Arthur into the squad. With the likes of Pique, Busquet and even Messi approaching their retirement age, the electrifying display of young players like Ansu Fati, Elena, De Jong and Arthur is a big relief. Against Valencia, these young guys proved their mettle and showed the world that they're all waiting to explode. Of all, Ansu Fati seems the most threatening and the future of the 16 year old looks even brighter with each game.

He has been tipped as the future legendary figure of Barcelona if he continues in this flight. The young star sent smiles off the face of Messi(from the stance) when he grabbed Barcelona's first goal of the night and also provided one assist for De Jong. In all, he was a burning flame throughout his stay on the pitch, dismantling Valencia's back line every now and then. With Luiz Suarez announcing his arrival with a stunning brace and Griezmann there to cause more troubles, Barcelona can now fear less about Messi's absence and retirement.
