It seems that after the end of the season, Manchester United want to hire Greek defender Kostas Manolas (27).

The Italian media reported the news from the English tabloid The Sun : Manchester United would be ready in June to pay the clause for Manolas. 27 year old Manolas joined Rome from Olympiacos in 2014. Last season he played 29 games in the Serie A championship, scoring two goals. During last year Champions League he scored a goal against Barcelona during quarter of finals and became a key player for Roma.

Roma clubs considers him an important player and absolutely non-transferable, but the club has a limited negotiations capacity for stopping MU and the entourage of Manolas dealing. Reason is very simple: Manolas at the moment can leave Rome paying a clause for the release that amounts to about 36 million euros, an amount that is laughable if we consider Manchester United availability, and that Manolas is one of the best defender of the world.

Greek defender, for its part, in Italy is doing really well and he loves "Giallorossi" enviroment, but it seems that with his transfer to “Red Devils”, his salary can rise up to 6 million per season, an amount very far from the new salary could spend for its financial status and it's not able to eliminate or raise the clause. The player has admitted to be interested to compete for the Premier League, a deal that could close next summer, given that the clause on his contract is valid from July.

Roma's DS Monchi is thinking about Daniele Rugani in order to find a substitute to Manolas for the defence of the season: Juventus Italian player (25) would be the right profile, in fact, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport, the footballer is not happy with his season in Juventus cause his limited possibility to play. Rome could be the right city to re-launch himself: with the "Giallorossi" Rugani would be in the first team and he would play in Europe as in Juventus.

Another interesting player for Roma is Gianluca Mancini: central defender of Atalanta is one of the best players of Series A championship this season. He starts his career with Fiorentina and then Perugia, before his arrival to Bergamo, where he found coach Gasperini, a man able to start a costant grow and to launch a lot of interesting players. Monchi has received reports very positive on Mancini, so it is probably that an operation on him could be parallel to the one for Rugani.
