Hello everyone, its a new week and i hope y'all enjoyed the weekend vibes. You know, its good to have the league games back on board and the champions league too ahead of us. No more boring days for us and I'm happy about that. Well, Its about time i introduce the winner of the weekend around the clock prediction contest but before that, lets take a look at our weekend games and the drama's that unfolded.
Westhampton 1 vs 3 Tottenham Hotspur
Jose Mourinho picks three points against the hammer in his first game as manager for spurs. Son, Moura and Kane scores respectively for spurs in their three goals thriller while Antonio and Ogbonna gave in two for the host. Their late fight back wasn't successful with a goal from Rice disallowed. Jose on his own capability has won more points in his first game as Mauricio Pochettino mustered in his last 12 away premier league matches with no win, three draws and nine loss.
Lyon 2 vs 1 OGC Nice
Reine-Adelaide and M. Dembele's penalty punches Lyon ahead of their visitors in the first half but K. Dolberg reduced the deficit for the visitors but that didn't take much effect. Both teams were creased with a red card. Marcal(Lyon) was sent off straight in the 34th minute while P. Burner was sent off in the second half after receiving a second yellow card.
Manchester City 2 vs 1 Chelsea
Kelvin De Bryune's deflected goal and Mahrez dazzling individual goal restored the dignity of the Cityzens at Etihad as it ruled out Ngolo Kante's opener. It was an unexpected first half comeback because the London blues were actually applying heavy pressure on the host. it unfortunately for them, they couldn't deliver. The host could have added to the blues misery but Aguero chose to hit the bar from Kepa's shootout mistake while VAR denied Sterling his late goal bit they came out on top nonetheless. Pep has proved to be a worthy opponent having won four premier league games against Chelsea despite conceding the first goal.
AC Milan 1 vs 1 Napoli
This was a draw match that wouldn't entirely satisfy both teams. It all began promisingly as the host wiped out their visitors lead, then petered out in the second half as both sides started to cancel each other out. Napoli were more enterprising and could have bagged the win at the death but it was just a mission impossible for them.
Eintracht Frankfurt 0 vs 2 Wolfsburg
The hosts now rests in 10th position on the Bundesliga table after a poor performance against Wolfsburg. Frankfurt went down 0-2 at home, losing both halves of the game. W. Weghorst had the opener for the visitors while J. Victor doubled the lead in the second half playing with just 10-men. M. Tisserand was shown a second yellow and a red in the late first half. Nonetheless, the visitors were able to secure their three points in the absence of a numerically complete team.
