What an interesting Tuesday this is. Nothing freaks me out on a cool evening when two teams decides to battle out their time. At this point in time there is no space for brotherly plays. Its a battle field and every gladiator with his amour of attack and shield.

Matchday 4 in the UEFA champions league and the table standings is still not hundred percent of the teams that will make it to the next round and the teams that'll visit the Europa as well as those going back to base.

Liverpool vs Genk.

The Merseyside reds where able to scare out a 2-1 win over victors on Wednesday. To this effect. they top the table with 9 pouts in 4 matches. Wijnaldum and Origi were on target for klopps side while M.Samatta had his name on the score sheet for Genk.

Napoli vs Salzburg

Both team secured one point each in a 1-1,draw. Neither of them was able to provide a decisive breakthrough for winning the match.

Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan.

It was a memorable comeback for Dortmund as their fighting spirit secured them a 3-2 win over their visitors. Martinez fires inter ahead with a fine finish. It was a pretty solo effort from the Argentine as he buried the ball into the top right corner with his left foot. M.Vecino doubled the lead thought a fine team work ignited by Brokovic. Inter led by two goals at half time, courtesy of a good display. Dortmund seemed to find their stand in the second half when Hakimi brought the host back into the game when he converted Gotze's low cross into the left bottom corner beyond Handanovic. Brandt with a fine composure strikes a low effort past inter's onrushing goalkeeper and that was the equaliser they've been looking for. Momentum began to build for L.Favre side as they struggle to complete the comeback. Hakimi became fortunate to complete the comeback as he despatches a low effort into the bottom right corner sending eruption down signal Iduna Park. It was a thrilling contest but the German side had the cutting edge when it mattered the most. Inter have lost four consecutive away matches in the champions league for the first time as well as losing a game they led by 2 goals. Dortmund on the other hand wins a match having been 2+ goals behind for the first time in their history.

Barcelona vs Slavia Prague.

The Catalans leads the group F table after a Slavia Prague held them to a goalless draw at home. The draw prevented Barcelona from scoring a goal at home since against Getafe in February 2018. The Spanish giants also creates the record of the highest unbeaten home run in UCL history. The last home match lost was against Rubin Kazan in 2009.

Chelsea vs Ajax.

Ajax known for their away prowess matched up against the London blues. It was one of the maddest night in the champions league history. They led the game from a T.Abraham's own goal in the early minute of the game. Jorginho levelled the game from the penalty spot before five minutes of the kick off. Promes, Arrizabalaga(own goal) and Van de Beek found the goal for Ajax but Lampard's squad kept struggling for a fight. Azpilicueta gets one in for Chelsea as pressure were forced on the visitors. Unfortunately for them, two of their players(Blind and Veltman) were sent out back to back in the 68th and 69th minute respectively. Hence, trouble overwhelmed them. Jorginho again from another penalty kick and Reece James equalised the game. The blues have never lost consecutive home games in any major European competition and they were lucky to secure a draw after Valencia win at Stamford Bridge. Moreover the blues have never lost to a Dutch club in the UCL having defeated Feyenord 1999/2000 and Ajax (matchday 3, 2019/2020) respectively. Ajax on their record have never lost away to any English side in champions league.

Valencia vs Lille

Oshimen Victor took advantage of the host sluggishness as he raced his team ahead in the 25th minute but the table turned around in the second half to favour Valencia giving them an equaliser through Parejo's spot kick. Soumaoro was caight in a poor defensive state and as a result, he scored an own goal to give Valencia the comeback. That was not the end as Kondogbia and Torres also found the back of the net in the 4-1 victory.

Ajax, Chelsea and Valencia shares same 7 points respectively while Lille rests at the bottom table with just one point. Though the group is still open for qualification to the four teams. Lille stands at a tiny gap to qualify. The remaining trio has the higher chance of qualifying go the next round.

Thanks for Reading...
