Some tide ago, I made a post on players debut hat tricks with their respective clubs and I believe y'all were entertained. Today's episode brings to us another debut hat trick goals which players have scored for their countries. This is quite a resourceful feat for players to achieve. Recently, you could hardly find a player in the modern era to even score a goal in their debut match. A brace is quite an enormous task, speak less of a debut hat trick. Let's see some names;

Eddy De Neve, who played for Netherland in their first ever international match against Belgium in 1905 scored just not a hat trick but four solid goals for his country ahead of the Belgians. It was like a dream come through to both him and his country at large. The game ended 4-1 after extra halves. Neve opened the scoring in the 80th minute while another Dutchman equalized for the Belgians with an own goal in the six minutes later. Full time ended in a 1-1 draw. De Neve scored three goals in extra halve, after 106, 117 and 119 minutes, and the game ended in a 4-1 victory for them. Eduard Karel Alexander de Neve whose date of birth wasn't certain(1 January 1882 or 2 January 1885), died on 30th August 1943.

It seems Eddy was not just the only Netherland player to score a debut hat trick for his country. Born on 13 October,1923 in Rotterdam, Wilkes Faas is another Noteworthy player who also scored past three goals in his debut match for Netherland against Luxembourg in 1946. Wilkes was one of those fortunate players to start their senoir career with a club and ends it with them(Xerxes). He died of cardiac arrest on 15 August 2006 (aged 82).

Another Eminent player was Piet De Boer (10 October 1919 – 8 February 1984) who made his debut on 28 November 1937 against same Luxembourg and cheered his Country to victory after scoring a hat trick in their 4-0 win. Luxembourg seems to be a country to have really suffered hat tricks from debuting players, especially from Netherland. Afterkick smith opened the score board for the dutch in the 29th minute, De Boer took over in the second half netting three times(68, 78 & 82 minutes respectively)Moreover, De Boer's debut game and hat trick tends to be so prolific as it was his first and last appearance for his country. This left him as the player with the highest scoring average in the Dutch national team history.

Dieter Müller, a German player born on 1st April 1954, showed the world his capabilities on 17 June, 1976 in a game against Yugoslavia where he bagged his debut hat trick. more interestingly, it was the European championship semi finals and he was substituted in the 79th minute just to open his scoring board with a goal 3 minutes later. He then added to more goals in the 115th and 119th minutes respectively to complete a zealous hat trick.

David Thomas Kelly who has been found to be undesirably underrated washed off his plight with a hat trick for the Republic of Ireland against Israel in 1987. His debut game would be one of a heck for him to remember. Born in Birmingham on 25 November 1965, Thomas Kelly was worthy of been chosen to play for Ireland because his father was born in Dublin. His contribution in the 5-0 win over Israel made him the fifth player to score a hat trick for the Republic of Ireland.

While lofty debut hat trick scorers are been mentioned, it'll be a taboo to not to outline the name Josip Weber (16 November 1964 - 8 November 2017 (aged 52). The Croatian had his first cap for his Belgium in 1994 where they faced Zambia. He contributed immensely to the 9-0 win over Zambia, netting five times. Though the game was technically not Weber's international debut, as he had already gone on three friendlies with his country Croatia before rushing naturalisation. He was eligible to play since his grandfather was from Belgium.

As I said earlier on, Luxembourg then, was the country most players showed off their debut hat trick prowess on. Luther Blissett born 1st February, 1958 (age 60) in Falmouth, Jamaica wasn't left out in the party. He scored his against Luxembourg in 1982.
