Its matchday 2 in the English premier league as Southampton hosts Liverpool on a sunny afternoon at the St. Mary's stadium. The beautiful day saw the Merseyside reds meet up with expectations as they equal their ever best winning streak of eleven consecutive win in the English premier league since February-April 2014 under Rodger Brendan. However, they've lasted on the road with their 5th away winning run too. This, they haven't achieved since the last six wins they had in a row in 2014.

This is a happy moan day contest organised by Pete. Endeavour to hit the Link for more.....

Meanwhile, the host actually dominated the early minutes of the game trying to apply pressure to the visitors. They squandered couple of presentable first half chances. They weren't clinical enough to convert those chances. Bad for them, Sadio Mane capitalized on a sumptuous curling strike from the edge of the box ,as he gave Jurgen Klopp's red a late half time lead just before the whistle went for half time. The second half began too slow but Firmino doubled the lead. It was a sloppy play as Mane pinches the ball just before feeding it to the Brazilian inside the box. He ghosts past a few players on the edge of the area before guiding the ball into the bottom left corner past Gunn(Southampton goalie).

With all this going on, Adrian has been a good lad making quite number of impressive saves (in the absence of Alison Becker who got injured at the 38 minutes of seasons start against Norwich city when he was already on a 3-nil lead). Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he caused an howler as he gives out a generous pass to former Liverpool player Danny Ings who scored for the hosts in the 83rd minute. Adrian must have felt awkward as he gives out the chance of the team having a clean sheet.

However, Klopp Laughed Off Adrian Error as Liverpool Goalie Thing. The manager may have been in less jovial mood had former Reds striker Ings made a good connection on a late Yan Valery cross, with the Saints man missing the glorious chance to level. "Minute 83, he thought, 'I've played really well so I have to make a mistake like Ali did and keep the game a little bit open'," Klopp joked. "I said to him, 'Finally, it arrived, welcome'. Ali did the same, obviously it is a goalie thing at Liverpool. I have no problem with that as long as we win the game.

Trust me, once Alisson get up from his injury bed, he's taking over the goal post. The coach wouldn't want to risk any match with his high hopes of winning the EPL this season. Making jokes to this kind of errors can put their objective in jeopardy. Well, I believe his jokes were purely based on his super cup victory after Adrian denies Abraham the last penalty kick to lift the trophy combined with his initial 2-0 win before the error.

Word of Encouragement

"If you didn't succeed, it's just as important to keep in mind that there has never been a success story without failure and lessons along the way." Eric Christian.

This'll be all for today. Have a nice day.
