The international break has come and passed while very player returns to their respective clubs to face themselves again. During the break, some funny but disheartening events unfolded. From left and right, players to coach, teams and officials. However the France vs Albania game has been picked as my most favourite and a total comic relief to stress. Right from the beginning, it was fun till the end. The fun aspect might exclude most Albanian as they were the pillar on which the cross rested on.

A Happy Moan Day Contest entry article organised by Sir Pete.

It all started with a state of confusion as the supposed anthem of the visitors was not what was aired in the stadium. The Albania players were perplexed hearing the national anthem of their group H rival Andorra instead of theirs. There was an immediate uproar and upset amongst the fans in the stadium. The issue was fixed with immediate effect and just there and then further bewilderment and embarrassment followed as the stadium announcer tendered an apology to "Armenia" instead "Albania"......lol. Though both country names sounds almost the same, such mistake should be avoided as it can cause major catastrophe psychologically and emotionally or otherwise. Was it that their country is so unknown that such awkward mistakes should be done? At this moment, the players have the right not to kick off. It was an insult to their nation as a whole. Well, let's not read a lot of meaning to such an accident. After sequence of dialogue between the team players to referee to the UEFA officials, the Albania squad forgave and decided to take the kick off.

With the state of the environment, Kingsley Coman took the opportunity and gave France an early lead in the game. Oliver Giroud doubled the winning minutes later. Unfortunately for Griezman, he failed to record his name on the score sheet as he crashed a 12 yards penalty against the woodwork thereby denying France another first half goal. Coman got himself a brace in the second half of the game after he successfully converted a beautiful and instrumental assist from Griezman. N.Ikone made it four for the world cup winners with an assist from fellow substitute N.Fekir. Albania won a penalty in the 90 minute and S.Cikalleshi beautifully converted it to a goal from the spot. The game ended in a massive victory for the home team.

After the game the Former Atletico Madrid ace man was asked about his miss early in game. The 28-year-old replied: “I don’t know what happened. I don’t know. Maybe it’s because my wife didn’t watch the game!.....I was on a good dynamic but we can’t score every time. Too bad, I’ll have to work on it". Griezmann‘s wife Erika was presumably looking after their two children, including baby boy Amaro who was only born in April.

Though i must confess, it was an awesome excuse but sleazy. Nevertheless, we've got to be whimsical at times. There is no pain in pleasuring awkward moments. But trust me, The Frenchman could get into a hot fuse with such an expensive joke. nonetheless, she can as much let it slide and take part of the Joy ride.
