It's been a while I've seen Jesse Lingard have a spot in United's starting XI for a league game. The depreciation of the Englishman can no further be addressed than how the "mighty has fallen". This keeps me wondering, isn't it time the 28 years old midfielder changes his playing environment???

It was a dream come true for Lingard to play for his dream club and most would have expected a fairytale ending for the lad but everything looks faded out. Joining the club in 2009 at the age of seven, I'll really say his patience paid off when he debuted for the senior team back in 2014 against Swansea. Sadly for him, the fatal injury he picked up might have ruined the journey for him.

Jesse Lingard was quite astonishing couple of years after he joined the senior team. He was a big team player that comes up with a rescue strategy whenever the team is about to fall off. unfortunately, we hardly see those awesome qualities this days. A very smart hard worker who always tracks back for the team and always a team player. During the 2017/18 EPL campaign, I can vividly recall his goal that saved the day at Old Trafford against Chelsea. The beautiful part of the game was that he came off the bench and secured the victory. How I wish we could have a feel of that kinda Lingard back in the days but his glorious time at Manchester United faded away to fast.

Having 210 appearances and scoring 33 goals with United, it's time he seeks for a new path to follow as Manchester United is no longer a home of comfort. There is little or no more believe in his saving grace abilities. I laughed myself off when I saw a bet on Lingard not scoring throughout the entire 209/2020 EPL season. That's the level of ill thinking raised in the mindset of supporters since his depreciating performance that knocked him off the starting XI. Unfortunately for the bettor, Schmeichel (Leicester GK) gifted the midfielder with a breakthrough goal in their last game of the season where united won Leicester 2-0 to advance to third place.

What do you think the future holds for the 28 years old. What decision would be the best for him to take concerning his career??? Should he stay and fight for a spot in the team or should he take a bow and leave to seek for fortune elsewhere???
