Chelsea have been in a complete bad shape this season. Looking back to how they started, one would think they are up for the title challenge. However, all those assumptions are beginning to fade away since they lost their form. Many blame Frank Lampard, while others blame the players. The real question now is, who is to blame???

The blues have won just 1 in the previous 5 EPL outing. picking a draw and losing the rest. That's such a bad record for a title contender I must say, likewise the way they sit comfortably in the 8th position.

What could Frank Lampard be doing wrong??? The team released enough funds to acquire star like players from other leagues. He acquired top notch players like Ziyech (Ajax), Werner (Leipzig), Kai Harvertz (Leverkusen). I must say, this are all quality players to take on the title challenge or is the EPL a different game pattern and scenario to their former leagues? Nevertheless, quality players are known for their quick adaptation to different league environment. Take a look at Bruno Fernandez☺. Lampard needs to take a critical view into his options when it comes to his first team selection. For me personally, I see no reason why Zouma and Azpilicueta should be out of his starting XI. Well, this is what happens when you are left with so many average options.

Taking a look at the players, will one say they are not happy? I don't think so. They only lack the focus to concentrate and battle out their poor form. The EPL ain't no easy ride to jingle on. You have to buckle tight at every opportunity that glances at you. You might be sitting at the top of the table this moment, then boooooom you are in 5th position just because of a game you drew. That's how competitive the league is. José Mourinho and Tottenham can attest to this fact.

If both Frank Lampard and the players cannot sort out their differences and sit up, it is likely that the Blues will fall out of the top four this season with the second leg already taking off.
