Happy new week peeps and welcome to our weekly contest "weekend around the clock". I'll be announcing the winner of the episode two contest but before that, lets take a look at the games played.

Luxembourg 0 vs 2 Portugal.

Bruno Fernandez and Cristiano Ronaldo goals gifts Portugal with 3 points in their away win over Luxembourg. The host languishes at the bottom half of the table as they did not qualify for the euro 2020. The 39th minute strike from Fernandez gave F.Santos men the lead at Josy Barthel stadium while Ronaldo's tap in doubled the lead for them and sees them through to the European competition come next year. Many has considered Ronaldo's goal a stolen one as it was an effort from Bernardo Silva that was already on its way into the goal. Instead of allowing the ball in. the Portuguese skipper adds his touch to the ball thereby denying the Manchester city star man both goal and assist. This, many considered as a selfish act from the 34 years old Juventus forwarder. Nevertheless, the skipper celebrates his 99th international goal.

Lesotho 2 vs 4 Nigeria

The super eagles of Nigeria breezes past Lesotho with a four goal thriller prior to a staged comeback. The Sesotho stadium felt the might of the eagles as they boomed past the host with another win in the African nations cup qualifiers. Sitting at the top of the table with six points, the eagles seems to be a surviving candidate for the competition. Nkoto heads home the opener for the home side in the early minutes but Iwobi was quick enough to level the game with his tight angle strike after receiving a decisive pass from Oshimen. Villarreal spot man Samuel Chukwueze completed the comeback as he heads Oshimen's volley into the back post. The Lille striker was doing a great job on the pitch and he never stopped until him scored his brace to finalize the goals for Nigeria. Awaziem on his side was unfortunate as he scored an own goal to help the host reduce the deficit but the own goal couldn't do no damage to the super eagles. Oshimen on fire with two assist and two goals takes home the man of the match with delight.

South Africa 1 vs 0 Sudan.

L.phiri late first half goal secured the first win for Bafana Bafana over Sudan in the Afcon qualification stage. Losing to Ghana 2-0, they were left with no point on the table but their victory today keeps their hope alive as they match same points with Sudan.

Kosovo 0 vs 4 England

The three lions squad bids farewell to Kosovo while they breeze past them with 4 goals to nil. It was a remarkable night for the English team as Harry Winks drew the first blood followed by Harry Kane's doubler. Both Tottenham players were in fine form that night as their goals gave them dominance over the game. Manchester United Marcus Rashford and Chelsea Mason Mount stretched it to four as both scored respectively. Its all has been a good game as England advances to the euro 2020 with another win to their name.

Albania 0 vs 2 France.

Tolisso and Griezmann had their name to the goalscorers in their 2-0 win over host "Albania". Tolisso with the first goal after receiving a fine assist from Barcelona star Antonio who later doubled the lead for the team. The former Athletico Madrid player has been said not to be in his best form with new club Barcelona but he is quite enjoying his play with France. However, the French team has been labeled with defamation after their game against Moldova. The goal by Varane which should have been cancelled stood despite Oliver Giroud foul against the keeper. The Chelsea star ran into the keeper when he was in the air trying to get a grip on the ball. The contact from Giroud made him lose balance as he fell to the floor loosing the ball to Varane who heads home the equalizer. Why did the referee and officials keep a blind eye to that situation???? Maybe they don't want their world champions to lose at home to underdog Moldovan team!!!!

Congratulations to @ronaldo420 as he bags home the 10scr. He has the only entry for this week unlike last weeks where we had ta participants. My surprise on seeing Robert Lewandoski as a goal scorer for the Luxembourg vs Portugal match...I thought he was Polish or did i think wrong. Maybe Lewandoski lied about his nationality😂😂...... lol.
