Main shareholder in Tottenham Joe Lewis

What looked like almost done deal on Thursday and Friday ended up as yet another disaster and failure by Tottenham board. Reports from Italy were saying Conte is close to reject Tottenham proposal because he is not convinced about real ambitions of Tottenham board. Soon after Spurs said deal with Conte is off because his "unrealistic demands regarding transfer budget" which would lead club to "meltdown".

Conte probably scaned current Tottenham squad and find that a lot of players really don't want to play and wanted to get rid of them and to bring new, but that demands serious money which Tottenham owners are not ready to spend. I was angry on Levy because of this failure, but main person I should be angry on is friend of George Soros main Tottenham shareholder Joe Lewis, billionaire who is heavy 3 or 4 billion Euros. He could sell few of his paintings and order Levy to sell deadwood and founds for transfers Conte demanded could be risen. Antonio increase value of players and they would be able to sell bought players for bigger price later and return money, but why to bother when they could reach 7th place with current squad ?

Main core of problem is probably fact that Tottenham board is not interested in chasing title, but only in getting top four. Antonio is not into that, he is into battle for title. That's why he said he doubts in Tottenham board ambitions. This failed group of owners is now moving inside circle mentioning names clearly unreachable like Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Hag and few more currently busy in national squads.

Spurs fans feel tricked and levy'd with all of this just like with rumors from the past about joining of Dybala from Juventus. This failure hit them harder, because it's not just matter of coach but also about persuading Harry Kane to stay. I am pretty sure that name like Potter or Howie are not convincing enough. Kane also wants titles and trophies just like Conte, but this board is not ready to invest in players to make title competitive squad. This Conte's failure will be final convincing of Harry Kane that he should leave.

Only good thing from Conte saga was appointing of sporting director Fabio Paratici. He worked in Juventus which dominated in Italy in his time. He's one of the top football directors and step forward from Steve Hitchen. He is already working in reinforcement of squad and searching for new boss. I really hope he knows what he's doing and that he will bring new quality coach to Spurs or maybe convince Conte to change his mind... Names from Italy like Sarri, Fonseca, Pirlo are not convincing for me because of recent record of failures just like Jose Mourinho. You don't need to be rocket science physician to conclude people who couldn't succeed with Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester United or Roma probably will not have success with Tottenham too.

Fabio Paratici

I must say at the end that name like Jurgen Klinsmann sounds more convincing to me than people mentioned above. He will not get title, but he is good in work with young players and like to play attacking football. It would be exciting to watch if nothing else. He was also ex Tottenham player and has "Tottenham DNA" whatever that term means. He also said he is interested in working in Tottenham now. He's also German with strong mentality and could bring some more discipline among players. He's one of founding fathers of modern German national squad. I am definitely thinking he's worth a try and what is most important for Tottenham owners he's free in terms of no compensation to any club.

Jurgen Klinsmann

Who knows this Italian-German combination in Spurs could be winning one, but only if Levy let Paratici and Klinsmann do football stuff.
