Daniel Levy appointed Paratici for football decision and quality of names connecting with Tottenham become very exciting. However it seems like he and other owner Joe Lewis kept old habits in making business. I've heard a lot of times that Jews are hard on spending money. My taught was it's bad information made by people who don't like Jews, but by watching those two I am more and more convinced it's pure truth.
Don Paratici easily identified weak and not motivated players still in Spurs payroll. He wants to get rid of all of them and to bring better, but it seems like love toward money by Levy and Lewis are preventing him from doing so.
Club with serious owner who wants to win trophies Chelsea showed us what is serious owner. Roman Ambramovich bought world class coach Tuchel, he identified Zouma as weak link, Chelsea informed Sevilla they want Kounde and deal was done in one afternoon! Zouma and 25M went in Spain and Kounde in London. All of that happen in one afternoon! Compare that with one moth saga between Tottenham and Atalanta over Romero and you will see why Spurs are not winning trophies. Few millions are to big obstacle in negotiations.
I am close to think Romero is not coming to Spurs. To be honest I don't know if 60M is to high price, but if Atalanta said they will not accept nothing less than that sum, there is no point in offering 40,42,45 just to be rejected over and over. If you have no ambition to win things, if 60M is to big for you then move to other players with price tags around 20M and hope they will be good in next season.
I don't understand one more thing and that is why Spurs didn't offer Sancher or Dier plus money for Romero ? Feel like it's more important to prevent Dier and Sanchez from playing for Spurs next season than who will we bring in.Anyone else would hardly be worse that those two. Dier managed to lose ball twice on his own half against MK Dons in pre season friendly!
Will you really wait Manchester City with central back pairing of Sanchez and Dier Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis ? If so don't be surprised when on 0:3 on score board in first half fans start to turn on toward your seats singing Modern Talking "Brother Levy Levy Levy" and Boney M "Bahama Mama" (for Joe Lewis)!
