UEFA Champions League for season 2018/19 has been finished two weeks ago and qualifications for League for 2019/20 will start on 25th June. Let's look how UEFA sees strength of some leagues:

First is Spanish Primera with 106,998 points, second EPL with 79605. third Serie A with 76249, fourth Bundesliga with 71427, fifth France league with 56415 points and then come Russia, Portugal, Ukraine, Belgium, Turkey, Austria and so on.

Four lowest clubs according to UEFA rating will face each other in little tournament which will end at Fadil Vokri stadium in Prishtina Kosovo on 25th and 28th June 2019.

One from those 4 clubs will earn place in first qualification round. Later some big fish like Porto, PSV, Ajax,Dinamo Kiev will join.

Roadmap discover that first qualifying round starts on 9th July so there is enough time for Vlad and Scorum team to include those games in betscorum if they want to do so.

I think this format is absolutely all right. Only problem is pretentiously chosen name "Champions League" because a lot of clubs who compete were not Champions in their countries. There is only one champion per country like Manchester City in England or Barcelona in Spain. More suitable name for this would be Super League or something like that. This way it is possible that club which did not win Championship in main league for a long time can conquer Champions League, so that ruler of Europe is not ruler at home in domestic league. Liverpool is like that ruler of Europe, while City is ruling at home in England with triple crown. I don't argue that this is competition where are the best clubs just feel name "Champions League" is just pretentious. It had sense before 1992 when real champions competed there when it had name "Cup of champions".

However UEFA does not think about changing this name but thinks otherwise to make it some kind of closed competition of richest clubs with 24 guaranteed places. I am hardly against that and fully support Spanish clubs who signed petition against it where they wrote that main criteria for participating in highest European competition should be standing on table from last season. New model rejected already by Germany and most of clubs in Spain even by president of France would promote richest clubs no matter how they played in last season. It would make possible that club like Manchester United because it is rich compete despite it can be 10th or bellow in domestic league. That way competition would lose quality and lure. Imagine Leicester won the title in England like few years ago and can not compete because all mighty United who is 10th must compete. What kind of injustice that would be ? We saw this year club with denied budget like Tottenham came to final, club like Ajax which is far away from richest came to semi final and was seconds away from final.

I have no idea whose incandesce head came to that dangerous idea ? Gentleman money is not everything and as legend like Johan Cruyff said bags of money do not score goals. If you are the richest clubs you have big advantage you can buy whoever you want and if with all of that you can't be in top 4 in your own league excuse me but you don't deserve to play in the strongest European competition! Football is interesting because from time to time David can beat Goliath and some not to reach club can eliminate big rich boys. That is charm of football. Every champion even from lower UEFA coefficient like that tre Penne should have chance to at least play in preliminary round of qualification like they are playing now!

I think UEFA should think in other way. How about limiting how much money clubs can spend on transfer market ? If one rich owner of clubs like Manchester City or Chelsea can spend billions to strengthen his squad does it make competition non fair ?

What do you think about this UEFA offer for new closed Champions League where you will qualify by paying to UEFA not by results in national league ?
