North London Derby might be lost for Spurs, Doherty and mindset of players might not be good, but from Spurs point of view there was one magic moment. That is Erik Lamela's rabona kick goal for 0:1. It was absolutely sensational and maybe goal of the season.
This player from Argentina is in form now. In every game he participate he has at least one great I'd say Maradona like moments. He will either go around 3 players, send impossible ball to assist for goal, or do something incredible. Regullion reaction after goal said it all. I couldn't believe what I just saw and question myself what kind of mind set he has ? What kind of mad brain do you need to have to dare trying that kind of shot in so important game like North London Derby ? Incredible! I mean look at power of that shot and path of ball before it ended inside the net. Amazing! That was move of a genius.
However I believe he has also other darker side which is preventing him to become what he can be. His bad temper and non controlled sliding tackles earn him at least yellow card in almost every game. This time he went step beyond and get second yellow for accidental face slap on Arsenal player. As soon as he came in instead of Son I knew this pitch is to small for Granit Xhaka and him and that someone from those two will get red sooner or later. Unfortunately he was the one with red. It's just a pity that his teammates didn't do any effort in this game until last 10-15 minutes and that this goal wasn't winning one. Maybe this effortless performance went on his nerves and he has got red to go out to provoke some reaction. :)
Now when Son got injured I hope we'll see more of Lamela after he serve I hope short red card ban. Jose just need to forbid him to make tackles and to let him play. He's Spurs mad genius! Bale, Bergwejn or Lo Celso can play on left, Lucas should remind in center and Erik Lamela on right.
I've heard it's not his first rabona shot goal. He did it against Asteras in the past.
