We are all concentrated on top 5 European leagues and Champions League, but let's rest a bit from them and take a look in one more serious league from Balkan called "Ling Long Superliga Srbije". From time to time very interesting things happened there.
Club from my part of town Banjica called Rad is again struggling to avoid relegation and is on 15th position on the table. They hosted Backa Topola club from province of Vojvodina which is on 4th place. Game ended in away side victory with my favourite result 3:4! Scoreboard looked like this:
Referee showed he is in the game too, by giving home side penalty for handball and ensuring fair game by sending off one away player in first half. However rampaging guests made few nasty counter attacks and scored goals. Referee gave Rad another penalty (this one was clear), but home lad hit post. Then as usually happen on football pitch side who lead with a lot of goals sudden drop in concentration and look at the mirracle home side scored two goals. Of course, when else to score last goal except near the end when there is not much time left for players which are not in the game to corrupt this wonderful result ? :) Rad had one more chance near the end but their player decided to try to shot down some drone with the ball instead of serious attempt to score goal. I feel some bookmaker is lamenting on this result somewhere. :)
I must say I didn't expect this displaying of Football Gentlemen in my neighborhood. They got me on surprise while I'm into England Premier and Champions League. Articles in newspapers are not less funny saying "Atomic football on Banjica", "7 goal thriller" ... :)
If this club go out of first Serbian League they would be able to say "At least we went out like gentlemen" :). Well done Football Gentlemen, I'll keep track on domestic league more after this. What else to say about this than repeat what ex Partizan and Southampton player Ivan Golac said once after Celtic - Partizan 5:4 game which was: "One home fan told me after he is sad they got eliminated, but games like this return faith in football". Indeed games like this return faith in football! :)
