If you wonder what Alan Ford comic book is here is an explanation:
Alan Ford is an Italian comic book created by Max Bunker (Luciano Secchi) and Magnus (Roberto Raviola), in print since 1969.[1] The comic book is a satirical take on classic secret agents laden with surreal and black humor, and sardonic references to aspects of the contemporary Italian and Western society.
Here in ex Yugoslavia we had luck that we could read those fantastic episodes translated on Croatian-Serb language. My generation read it a lot and from time to time I feel we are living just in that comic book. Main, the best ever, never getting old phrase from this fantastic series was "If you intend to win you must not lose!" That's what football coach Slaviša Jokanović used to tell to his players. :)
Reason I write about this is Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy I wonder if he is one of characters from this comic book ? I know there are non translated episodes and he might be in one of those maybe ?
Hist team is struggling badly with injuries, coach is forced to play players out of positions because he ran out of options, there is ongoing transfer window but all what we can hear is "It's hard to make business in January transfer window!" Other clubs are getting players they need, while Tottenham owner and board just moan. Last example is Omar Marmoush who is going to Manchester City!
There was player from Egypt who played for Spurs with nickname Mido and he tweeted to those owners of Spurs about this amazing talent. His price was affordable at time when he wrote something like this "I told you about Salah you didn't listen, I am telling you about Omar now, go get him, he will be new Salah." There was no attempt from club to sign this player. Today he is going to sign for Manchester City. Then we will listen blabbering of Daniel Levy saying "It's hard to compete to win things". Of course it is when you are not ready to bring quality players into squad because you don't want to pay fee or give player requested salary!
I see hero from this comics Grunf saying "If you want to buy player you need to pay fee" or "If you want to bring in player you need to give him salary!" :) Yes there is no way Daniel Levy isn't undercover member of T.N.T. group. Maybe stingy character of "Number One" (one on right part of the picture) has been written with him in mind ?
Some fans are writing buy Mbeumo, buy right wing from Southampton and stuff like that, like they didn't figure out he's not bringing players who can play football, but half players with obvious lack of quality. Do they really think he's not able to distinguish good from bad players after being 24-25 years in charge of this football club ? My opinion is he can distinguish of course, lower forms of life would be able to do that after 25 years of practice! Of course he can do that, but he won't bring them in deliberately because he is enjoying in downfall of this football club. He might bring one we need to use search engines to find out who he is.
Then he'll say "Oh look how it's hard to compete!"
Grunf from Alan Ford has these messages to him:
"If you want to stay chairman of big football club you must not only compete to win things but to WIN THINGS every couple of years!"
"If you want to compete to win things you must have quality football players",
"If you want to bring quality players you must pay fees and decent salaries to them"
"If you want to compete to win things you must have quality coach and let him bring in quality staff"
"If you want to compete to win things your relatives shouldn't be anywhere near dressing room"
"If you want to compete to win things you must enforce discipline in your organisation"
"If you want to compete to win things you must have quality medical staff"
"If you want to compete to win things you must have bigger influence on FAPGMOL to ensure players have fair conditions to play equal to other side"
If you can't compete with resources you got with 8th or 7th richest sport club in revenue then resign from chairman position sell club and go to build some hotels pal or even better go to Gaza they need rebuild after recent war! Imagine how many buildings you could build there!
