After not so good game and win vs Leicester, Tottenham played champions league game versus leading team in Bundesliga Borussia Dortmund. Without key players like Hary Kane and Delle Ali a lot of people including me did not give them much chances in this game. Well we did not count on coach Poch factor! We saw some genius moves bs Spurs coach like putting Vertongen on left back position. We saw well motivated players ready to die on pitch to win the game. Other genius move was to put Son and Lucas in attack and to skip Llorente until finish, then to bring him in to score third goal after corner!

First half was I would say even game with one big chance for the Spurs where Lucas shot very good, but was unlucky as ball went just near post. Soon after Foyth made big mistake and Dortmund had 100% chance but missed. I can't understand when you are surounded with 2 Dortmund players in the box to start to dribble instead to get rid of the ball by any means. Fortunately there was player behind and Ugo saved shot to provoke wild Ugo Ugo chants from Wembely. Dortmund had few solid chances the biggest was near the end of first half when someone made header after duel with Foyth, but magnificant Ugo saved that one too.

In second half we saw only one team play - Spurs. Man of the match Vertongen took the ball on the left wing position and made dream cross to skip Dortmund player and to found Son who finished the chance superb for 1:0. Vertongen's cross was like ball with eyes targeting Son and avoiding Dortmund players. Brilliant! That goal gave wings and confidence to both Vertongen and Son and they started to torture Dortmund defence. Not long after man of the match football doctor Vertongen run in counter attack bring up hand high while running in emptiness of Dortmund's defence to signal he wants the ball, the ball came to him for great finish of counter attack for 2:0 for Spurs. Dortmund tried to play more attacking, but then great coach Poch brought in Llorente who scored header after one corner just after he came in the game! 3:0 and mountine to climb for Dortmund in second leg. Dortmund had only one good shoot in second half after 90th min which went wide of goal.

This was serious game by Spurs, great performance and well deserved win! Congratulations!
