Christian Romero

Tottenham Hotspur signed Atalanta defender Christian Romero on 5 year deal. He cost Spurs more than 50M Euros. When Liverpool signed Van Dijk few seasons ago it was game changer and they instantly become very serious title contender. I really hope "defender of the year" from Serie A can fix holes in Tottenham defense. However I am afraid Spurs will need to bring one more central defender because Sanchez and Dier don't look very reliable. That pierced defense also need fix on right back position because Aurier and Doherty are simply not good enough. Who will be new defenders ? I think whoever come will hardly be worse than players mentioned above. Nikola Milenkovic looks like good option in terms of quality against the price.

Club is "working hard" to resolve (read find interested club) Mousa Sisoko situation. He's that good that no one wants to sign him. N'Dombele expressed his frustration because both of his mates Aurier and Sissoko are on exit door from club. Fans already sent him message that his fitness condition should be bigger source for concern. Club payed him around 50M, hopes were high, but he isn't fit after 2 years in Spurs! He was not involved in Euro and didn't play much near the end of last season and he's still not fit ?! How can it be ? Some frustrated fans already sent him message he can follow their example and leave the club. Harry Winks on other hand had some interest and is expected to leave Spurs this summer, but he's still here. That rise fear that we will be forced to watch him one more season. Like one fan said on his you tube channel "He is depressing to watch".

Harry Kane or his PR team announce statement how "things are going according to plan" and how "he never refuse to train and he'll be on training on Saturday". I have no doubts things are going according to plan, but question is which plan ? His agent Charlie Kane, Pep or someone else ? He damaged his reputation and fell very low in eyes of fans to the point that 65% of them don't believe him anymore. Majority are thinking he's not with head in this club and so desperate to leave to the point that he's ready to go on strike or sabotage his club. Article that he can buy off his contract just added oil on fire. Some fans start comparing him with notorious Judas Sol Cambell! He fell in my eyes too to the point that only public wiping of his back with City offer could wash him. If he is angry anger should be focused on Arab owners of City who don't want to pay fair price, but insist to buy player for 100M. If they don't want to pay fair price and have only 100M then they can wait for next summer to sign him for that fee.

Meanwhile club is exploring other strikers. Fabrizio Romano said Spurs are in contact with agents of Fiorentina's striker Dušan Vlahović. However Serbian striker signed new deal with his club with exit clause of 70M. I'm afraid that is to big sum for Daniel Levy. With Ings signed for Aston Villa there are less and less good strikers who might come to Tottenham. This situation force me to think about other Serbian striker Luka Jović who was amazing in Eintracht Frankfurt, but then didn't get real chance in Real Madrid. His price of 20M could be reachable for Spurs owners. He plays with both legs and would not be bad as one of two strikers. Other could be on example Divock Origi from Liverpool. He's with one year left on contract and will likely go away from Reds. He didn't play much, but whenever he come in I was satisfied with his effort. He even scored me goal in CL final few years ago. Those two are not to expensive and should be good enough for at least mid table like 7-10 place. Italian player Insigne could be nice solution to despite he's over 30 years old. He has incredible skill.

Paratici hard work in bringing in new players should pay off. I just hope Daniel's way of negotiations will not prevent new signings.Time is passing quickly, first game is in a week and we need more excellent players in squad. COYS!
