Tottenham coach Poch has been banned by FA for insults against referee in Burnley game and was unable to lead club in today game. Before the game he claimed that he "loves Southampton" and that "he cried" when he moved from Southampton to Tottenham. He decided to start the game with following 11 players: H. Lloris, J. Vertonghen, D. Rose, D. Sánchez, K. Walker-Peters,M. Sissoko, C. Eriksen,Lucas Moura,D. Alli, E. Dier, H. Kane. Delle Alli returned after injury. Coach of Saints R. Hasenhüttl picked up following eleven: A. Gunn, M. Yoshida, R. Bertrand,J. Vestergaard, J. Bednarek, Y. Valery, Oriol Romeu,N. Redmond,P. Højbjerg,J. Ward-Prowse,C. Austin.

Game started with Spurs domination. H.Kane missed 2 big chances with shoots well wide of goal. D.Alli played well, Eriksen hits the crossbar from one free kick. Southampton was unable to make any chances. In 26. min. Tottenham made quick counter attack H.Kane and D.Alli exchanged few quick passes after which Kane got the ball in 5 m. and scored a goal under Gunn through his legs. It was total domination of Spurs. It should be 2 or 3:0 before half time.

In second half everything changed. Southampton bring Sims and Long and suddenly became very dangerous. Redmond missed few good chances and big holes in Spurs defense Sanchez and Rose start to show up in all highs. Rose soon made "man of the match" move when he deliberately let the ball pass through his legs after low cross for unknown reason. Valery behind him could not do anything else than to tell him "Thanks man" and to score a goal from close range. Then this bad prick Rose started to complain on something to Vertongen ?! I really do not see reason on stubborn put this out of form prick Rose to starting 11. After equalizer Southampton got wings. Soon they made counter attack stopped by foul from back by Walker-Peters on around 18m from goal. J. Ward-Prowse took the ball and scored effective goal for 2:1. Then Spurs coach decided to let LLorente in the game and that was game over for the Spurs.

Conclusion: very good first half, awful second by Spurs. Holes like Rose and Sanchez should be far away from first team football. H.Kane was not on his level too. Other day he would take the ball home from 3 great chances he had. Spurs definitely said "Bye bye" to one of first 4 places of Premier League Table. After this performance I already see that all Champions League clubs have only one wish and that is to draw Tottenham in QF.
