Brennan johnson scoring a goal for Tottenham vs Ferencvaros

Tottenham won Europa League match against Ferencvaros with result of 2:1 on rainy and soggy pitch in Budapest. Match was very exciting and it highlighted some things fans are worried and excited about. It's fifth win in a row for Spurs in all competitions and fifth time in a row Brennan Johnson scored goal! He's 5/5 and long may Spurs winning row and Brennan's goal scoring row continue!

Pape Matar Sarr scores for Tottenham vs Ferencvaros

Ange Postecoglou sent this squad on the pitch: Vicario, Poror, Romero, Gray, Davies, Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall, Moore, Lankshear, Werner.

Match started with dominance of home side. They created some dangerous situations in front of our goal, even scored, but goal has been disallowed rightfully after very little offside. There was situation in which Vicario saved powerful shot from 2-3 m. of goal, but later offside was signaled. Soon after we made dangerous attack, their box was crowded by players, ball deflected to Sarr who sent it in between goalkeeper and player trying to block him. Curiosity is that ball deflected so fast from the net that in first moment I was not sure was it goal or not! Spurs took control of the game until half time with couple of dangerous situations in front of both goals. The most promising was one in Ferencvaroses box when Porro was faster than Saldanha who tripped him, Pedro felt, but quickly jumped on feet and sent nice shoot toward away corner of goal, but it ended on post!

Second half started by dangerous attacks of home side. Vicario saved one header from inside the box and one very very dangerous shoot by Saldanha who targeted away corner of goal, but Italian saved it! Awesome goalkeeping! Soon after Ange began with sending regular starters like Kulusevski and Johnson on the pitch and we took full control of this game! Johnson hit crossbar and soon after scored wonderful goal for 2:0. He received ball in heart of the box, moved ball a little left in skillful way and fired up precise attempt on goal and ball deflected from post into the net! 5/5 from Brennan! He is becoming serious player!

Brennan Johnson great goal vs Ferencvaros

Mikey Moore sent great ball in the middle toward alone Timo Werner. He didn't have players around him, only goalkeeper, he was with the ball on 14-15 meters of goal with goalkeeper on 2-3m. from him! German player tried to move around goalkeeper, but alas Dibusz didn't fell but run near him and TImo went in dead corner and tried to shoot from there and hit only thing he could from there and it's wrong side of net! Legend is saying his xG is 0 no matter where is he on the pitch! How much longer will we be forced to watch this "great backup solution", "Champions League winner" and "masterclass signing" of Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou ? This is becoming ridiculous! He is really looking like he will never score a goal again! Poor Timo, finished as footballer at age of 28! He really need to spend time on pitch after training practicing finishing! I need to see pictures of that badly! Ange fix this you are responsible for that you brought him in this squad!

Werner couldn't score from this situation!

Then in 90. minute Ferencvaros made very good attack on left side, cross came inside the box where serious player Barnabas Varga made acrobatic move to fire rocket under crossbar for 2:1. Vicario didn't have chance to save it. Nothing significant happen after that and Spurs took 3 points from Budapest! Congratulations!

About young players my view is this. Lankshear did big effort like Moore, but their performance was nothing special. It's important for them to win to gain winning mentality, I am glad they have minutes and hope Ange will continue to give them chances. There is no way Moore is worse than Werner in this point of time. Big money signings like Gray or Bergvall also didn't show anything special. They had ok performance but nothing special, nothing which would suggest they are super players at the moment.

Overall nice performance, only who is for big worry is Timo Werner. Let's hope our winning row and Brennan Johnson's goal scoring row will continue on Sunday in Brighton! COYS! COYS! COYS!
