Tottenham won representative of Azerbaijan Qarabag with 3:0 despite Spurs played 85 minutes with 10 man because of sending off of Radu Dragušin! It was exciting game with plenty of chances for both sides, but at the end we created more and converted more and won with maybe too high result thanks to being lethal in front of goal and too big respect and fear they showed toward us. Game started with 40 minutes delay because away side have stuck in traffic jam and it was perfect for me because I had some things to do and couldn't watch it from 9 o'clock, but from 9:40 it was fine! I am touched by this Tottenham delay of kick off because of me! LOL!
It was agile start, but as soon as in 5th minute Romanian international pulled advancing opponent and then initiated body contact and Brazilian felt and referee gave him foul and red card to Dragušin. It was early shock, but when you always play on the edge of making penalty or red card at some point it will happen to you! I am sad for Radu because Europa League is his chance to play while Romero is fit and he's been suspended now! Some people would argue Radu released him on time, question if there was enough contact for foul, but I am closer to think ref made right decision.
Ange took off Bergvall who started instead of James Maddison and put Udogie in to cover hole in the defense. At that point squad was: Venom Viccario, Gray, Van de Ven, Davies, Udogie, Bissouma, Sarr, Johnson, Solanke, Son. Spurs continued to play in same way despite being man down. Dangerous situations repeated in front of both goals, but without final product until Solanke took ball away from them in dangerous area and passed it to Johnson on the right who made very good effort and sent it into goal for 1:0. This is third goal in third game for Welshman, long may this continue! Away side had one dead chance, but their lad sent ball wide and at the end of first half one of our players lost ball and it looked like opponent will run alone on goal, but out of nowhere Venom Vicario showed up away from goal and made great tackle and sent ball into out!
Dejan Kuluševski came in in second half and instantly started with his moves on right flank. After one of them ball went into corner. He made corner, goalkeeper swam under ball which felt to Pape Sarr who scored easily for 2:0! Soon after Qarabag had penalty! Bissouma made tackle which hit opponent leg first and then ball and referee didn't miss the chance to point to the spot and show Yves yellow card! However their lad released ghost from the bottle and sent ball over crossbar! Viccario saved half chance which happen soon after. However his best was denying dangerous shoot which went straight were crossbar and post connect, but venom dived, flied and sent it into corner! Amazing! Superb! Solanke had one big chance on other side but his effort has been saved by goalkeeper! However Dom scored soon after Son's effort was deflected short, he was on right place in right time and sent it inside the net under goalie. Solanke started to exchange firing arrows with some fans in first rows before his bite hand celebration! He was very good in this game!
Shadow on very good win threw injury of Son who was replaced in second part of second half. Let's hope it's not serious! Considering all what happen I'd say lads made very good job, created more chances, executed more of them and deserved victory which is maybe too high when we have in mind what happen on the pitch. I am especially happy for Guglielmo "Venom" Vicario who kept clean sheet and made some great saves and clearances.
There is however no time to celebrate because soon we'll play Manchester United away. Let's see how will we play there and can Johnson, Solanke and others be good against top opponent ? Let's see! Congratulations on win and COYS COYS COYS COYS!
